-21 points, 5 transfer windows under embargo, £100k fine, administration, likely relegation. That’s all for Mel’s transgressions, and we’ve largely accepted that. The threat of liquidation due to spurious legal claims is totally separate to that. We can be rightly angered at Mel, and we are, for all the above, and STILL be angry with MFC, WW, and through complicity, the EFL, for the continued vendetta, and it IS a vendetta against the club.
Our punishment, is unprecedented, and they’re still NOT happy. If that’s not vindictive and spiteful I don’t know what is. Pushing a fellow club into oblivion because you have a gripe at someone who’s no longer anywhere near the club. This is why children shouldn’t be allowed to own clubs. In fact I’m being unfair there, not even most children would behave in the way that pube-head and the ambulance chaser are. When an independent regulator is finally installed, the first thing they should do is kick this pair out of the game entirely. Football would be far better off without either of them.

Every fans forum the issue of FFP came up. Every time we were told (by Mel and or Pearce) that we were narrowly on the right side of the line. In lieu of the accounts not being there to be scrutinised I’m not sure what more anyone could do to call them out as BSing.
There were certain red flags yes, like “Why are we having to sell the stadium?!” But the EFL said that was ok so it just looked like a smart way of creating more breathing space on the P&L.
Again, this comes down to the EFL and it’s rules. It should not be possible to get away with this for years on end. If the processes and procedures were in place then it would never have gotten this far, or this bad.

Agree with the point above. How can clubs be expected to be 100% compliant, 100% of the time when even the EFL aren’t entirely clear on their own rules, and can interpret them in numerous ways depending on which way the wind is blowing?
It would also help, immensely, if their rules complied with/were aligned to, the latest legislation.

Based on Toby Perkins comments yesterday the amounts that Boro and Wycombe are looking for are likely far too high for any prospective owner to entertain.
This doesn’t go away without someone, somehow, removing the parasite/vampire clubs from the equation entirely. The easiest way to achieve this is by the EFL determining them as not being football creditors. With Pube-head’s finger on the “sue the EFL” trigger though they’re never going to do that. Which leaves it on Quantuma, they’re going to have to push this through the courts to seek a legal ruling to kick those claims out. The problem there, again, is that it’s likely that would have MFC bullying the EFL into expelling us from the league for “going rogue”.

All of this stems from MFC having the EFL over a barrel. That’s another thing that an independent regulator needs to address when they’re installed.

Agree with this. It’s inevitable, and the final insult.

The second we’re gone they’ll decide that claims of this nature can’t be construed as football debts, and that clubs suing other clubs outside of the EFL processes will be punished by removing those clubs’ golden share.
    Guaranteed.
Then they’ll cry crocodile tears over not being able to do this in time to save Derby. In fact they’ll use us as the poster child for why those changes are necessary. Even when we’re dead they’ll still be humping us.

This is the biggest danger. It seems that Boro, the EFL, and likely Wycombe think the Admins are engaging in brinksmanship and will cave at the eleventh hour to save the club. That’s a hugely dangerous assumption. If they’re wrong, we’re finished, and it will lay squarely on the three of them.
A couple of days ago it was said that they were hating being perceived as the bad guys in this. That’s the angle to intensify on, make sure everyone knows who’s fault it’s going to be if we go under. Mel got us into this mess, but we’ve been punished for his transgressions already, the club being liquidated will entirely be the fault of Boro, of Wycombe, and through complicit collusion, the EFL.
