If we are, and the EFL have done their fit and proper etc on the incoming owners, can we take them to court, seems only fair  ?                                            I know the answer, just the thought appeals.

I'm just waiting on the reveal that it's actually a consortium of football villains............Ken Bates, Adam Pearson, Billy Davies, Matt Southall, The Oystons, SiSU, the ghost of 1970s Leeds utd, all formed together to create a hub of evil power....but it turned out neither Wednesday or Cardiff could handle the evil....

I'm a tired middle aged man. I don't have reserves of rage to bring to bear on topics around what might go wrong, or what should have been done. I'm sad that Mel is walking away, sad for us and for him, that the effort in sweat and treasure he's put in to getting us promoted never worked out. Blame him if you want, but few of us could or would have done better. He deserved to sit in the executive box at Old Trafford and The Emirates and watch our team mix it with the best again. I'll always respect him and wish him well.
The new guy is a clean slate, a fresh start. We have a new season over the horizon and if we can just win a couple more games and stay up, positives in the academy and the managers office and hope for the future.
Good luck to him, and I hope the takeover and the relegation battle conclude successfully in this next couple of weeks.
Up the Rams. It's all about the hope.

There’s certainly things of concern surrounding this takeover.
One that stands out for me is, why is Alonso such a good option now after Mel snubbed him to go with the Sheikh?
If it goes through we’ll all just have to take him as we find him, there may be some unpalatable stuff on the politics side, but we don’t really know his thoughts on this and we don’t really know what our previous owners political inclinations have been.
One positive is that he had a bust up with Chansiri over the appointment of Pulis, with Alonso wanting Paul Cook instead.
This at least suggest some knowledge and understanding of this level of the game and the type of manager he would be inclined to appoint!

Turns out any player we look to sign gets an automatic 10 points. This table shows points based on the buying club, whereas I initially thought it meant where the player is being bought from. The English Championship is Band 2 (10 points). This means Dursun would be granted a work permit.

    Of course it matters.
Derby County, even football in general, is not the be all and end all of everything on earth.
You cannot look at any single aspect of life in isolation; everything is interrelated.

well here's hoping for some favourable results but they really look a bit worrying
Coventry15:00Bristol City  Bristol manager bounce has faded and I sense they are not that interested
Rotherham15:00Wycombe another surprise result for Wycombe but I don't expect it.  Just give them a tough game please  TBF they have picked up 7 points from their last 3 games.  Rovrum have some defensive problems after their skipper was sent off given they have injuries to 2 other defenders.  Dare he risk them both in this game?
Sheff Wed17:30Cardiff it is quite likely that a loss will see wendy 9 points from safety.  Cardiff's season is starting to disintegrate
Birmingham play tomorrow as do udders

I'd be pretty appalled if complacency crept in with us on a mere 43 points. The bigger danger for me is over-caution.
Not suggesting for a second Reading & Norwich are free hits but think we need to be targeting points against both. Reading are wobbling at the minute & Norwich are coasting to a title (as a insipid draw at Preston on Friday showed).
People talk about how poor our squad is and losing Gregory & Waghorn won't help but we have Lawrence, Sibley, Jozwiak & Roberts as options in behind one of the best CFs in the division (statistically CKR has second highest goal to shot ratio). All 4 of those attacking players would interest better placed clubs than us. There are goals in this team & we need to find the balance between being solid but also having real menace going forward. In short, hanging on with no attacking threat will see us beaten easily.
Our record against the top 6 has been very good. A repeat over the next 2 games (say 4 points from the next 2 games) would take the drama out of later games & inject a bit of confidence to finish strongly.

Think it’s worth remembering the lad is only 22, moved to another country joining a team that’s struggled whilst bringing through a number of academy players.
Apply some context, not all players hit the ground running.
Maybe if we stick with him, let him settle in, not get on his back (when stadiums reopen) we’ll get to see the best of him?

I've been confident all season we will get out of this, even when we were rock bottom. I honestly believed we will stay up and I still do, but even I'm starting to get just a little bit worried now.
This is the most concerned I've been all season, probably because we're coming down to the business end and we're still in trouble not looking like we can score another goal let alone win another game. Add the comments from Rooney about Waghorn and this just looks like a recipe for League one.
We need to sort it over this 2 week break. Beat Luton first game back and we're halfway there.

Every result can't go for us every round of games. Apart from that one, other teams' results were pretty good for us this week.

Andrew3000 reacted to Carl Sagan in Louie Sibley
I think the issue is that Sibley is an attack-minded, very creative central midfielder, and when he burst into the team and made such an impact that was his role. So it's frustrating that Rooney is occasionally giving him 5 or 10 minutes out on the left wing and then singles him out for criticism for not delivering.
We are absolutely desperate for goals as a team. If we can't start scoring we might yet be relegated. But we're not making the most of our attacking assets. I say put round pegs into round holes and we might be more dangerous. We have lots of players who can do a job wide, but Sibbo is better suited and perhaps our biggest goal threat centrally.

Some players simply don't play well in cameos off the bench and struggle to get into the flow of the game. Some players always seem to start games slowly and take the first 20-30 minutes to get into their rhythm, grow into the game and make valuable contributions - when they only get 15-20 minutes there's no chance of that happening.
Some players don't train quite as well as others yet come match day they light it up. That's not to say that poor performance in training is something to be accepted, far from it, but sometimes a good performance out on the pitch in real match situations can be the spark for improvements in training - it doesn't just work one way round.
There are plenty of players who aren't "the perfect professional" who have very good careers in football and make an impact on the pitch, but Rooney seemingly wants a whole squad of perfect pros. That's all well and good but it doesn't help us find a creative spark to our performances, just a lot of hard work to no end.
