Just re Rosenior, he faced 7 teams in the top half out of his 9 games in charge...that would indeed skew the statistic but against him & in favour of Warne. What can't be disputed is that Warne has managed a disproportionate amount of games against lesser opposition (22 out of 36 against bottom half sides) & that he has two wins against top half sides in 14 attempts. About as objective a stat as possible although context can smooth the edges (if not totally refute) that I accept.

We couldn’t beat a good Leeds side until we did just that and when it mattered - the memories the memories

I would be tempted to have him on the bench if allowed as he has played the full season basically and if needed he could help.

I am expecting us to change some stuff in this game and probably go into the game in a cautious way ( which is always a concern) and see where that takes us and Peterborough. Sheffield Wednesday will rest players but they actually have plenty to use.

Whilst not looking at it through black and white eyes some of the actual points you have collected have been extremely fortunate and by that I mean deflected goals etc whilst the opposition have missed stacks of penalties and hit the woodwork far to often especially in the first half of the season. You also were extremely fortunate to have the World Cup break where you could work on not letting goals in which helped a lot. your biggest chance has been the sheer rubbish of Dirty leeds and a lack of spending from Leicester whilst Southampton have just been due not to escape and Everton have burned through FFP to the point of punishment and no spending.

on our last visit we were given Claude Davis and Rob Earnshaw to survive with hence the eleven points after Billy Davies deliberately left us well and truly in it.

To be fair, two of those attendances were just over 30,000 which is incredible really. To get as many in your biggest 3 attendances in the last 30 years as we got at home to Oxford in the 3rd division  is really a sign of a big, well-supported club. So, how far do we need to go back…40, 50? Genuinely curious.

Todays attendance was the biggest in the whole English pyramid I believe which is fairly amazing for a third division club 

If we make it to the play offs we could end up taking all our chances and winning gloriously 

We have missed some right sitters this season haven’t we !

Yes some are way too harsh - if the others around him had similar stats we would likely be in the top two positions I suspect

Extremely lucky own goal gets the dogs level - they have had some right luck with the few goals they have actually achieved this season

As well as the moments of genius he’s given us, he’s put in the hard yards time and time again. It’s extraordinary how many times - aged ?36 - he pops up deep in our own half and makes an important tackle. Hope we’ll see another season whichever div we play in 

If we had him last season and he was fully fit as this season I am convinced we would have stayed up even with the minus 21 points

Apart from playing in front of a full house at PP in front of 3,000 of their own fans - I suspect Portsmouth will fancy this game so we will need to be better.

We are not in the play offs yet as we need an obvious win on Saturday which will be like the Burton game probably so let’s get there first and play anyone. I would always fancy us against anyone in the play offs.

I assume the referee had watched all the seasons videos of Derby County and assumed those were the decisions that had to be given as a penalty but hadn’t realised we were playing in White
