  1. We broke no actual rules - end of story - the administrators accepted a punishment of minus 9 points or we couldn’t move forward  - Mel Morris gave us the extra minus 12 points for administration - the real punishment was having embargo after embargo and restrictions after restrictions while the EFL tried to worm a case against us to please outside parties which cost us a fortune in player sales or lack of player sales.

The anticipation is that he’s likely to drop a level according to Exeter fans. Surprising as he’s been very good in both games against us.

He lost his place in the side - is that due to someone being better? Or he wanted to leave?

Does anyone know what date players will be let go and other players offered new contracts?

The manager probably needs to know what budget he has to work with, who he might be able to get in and will they make us better. Also who wants to stay and who wants to move on.

I suspect a lot of conversations will start this week and carry on for a while yet

  4. I have no idea if the club wants to keep Davies if we could but we probably should try especially as Stearman is effectively finished and Chester is simply never available and given a decent run of games is very dependable

Marvin Johnson needs to read that, understand exactly what it is he's done, and hang his head in shame. The diving b******.

Hopefully they won’t mind if the same thing happens to themselves in the play offs or at Wembley

But we could probably cope with his wages, and we don’t need the money, we’re in a much stronger bargaining position than we have been previously. If it is a loan then we should be pushing for a decent loan fee. I think after his performances for Brum we might get a couple of offers hopefully.

I don’t think we got a loan fee from Birmingham this season and only around 80% of his wages paid from what I heard - anyway if it’s the best deal we could get that’s it really

  7. I can cope with decisions going against us but what is unacceptable to me has been the the decisions awarded against where there is simply nothing to discuss - not even any physical contact at all - now the players are to blame because they are nothing but cheats and they will forever know that they are cheats, it’s not simulation because it doesn’t exist in the rules it’s cheating and I want those players shaming every week with at least the same punishment as violent conduct

Part of that plan though is that we can't pay transfer or loan fees or agents fees for another two windows. At least that's what was widely reported.

Free transfers with no agent fee is a tough market, although LR did brilliantly IMO.

I'm guessing that there won't be any meaningful action in this thread until August.

You could tell McGoldrick had no agent 👍

  9. Hopefully we play hard ball with Birmingham but we are stuck aren’t we - we can’t afford his wages in this league and he doesn’t want to play in this league but I suspect we still owe Arsenal money so another wammy - we aren’t doing very well out of this very expensive transfer, in fact Birmingham probably got the best value out of it.

They looked steady in the Championship, but again their predominant body of work has been in a struggling side. Take away their first season, under Cocu, where they were used sparingly. They have been prominent in finishing 41st, 43rd and 51st overall in the English league pyramid. Two bottom four championship finishes (albeit one with a point deduction) and a failed top 6 push in the third tier of English football.

Considering the landscape of football post Covid, where teams just aren’t spending money in the same fashion, they aren’t the players that demand decent money. I hope to be proven wrong and we can use their sales as a base to build a better side but I think we are looking at £1m-ish, honestly. Knight maybe more because if he leaves at the end of his contract then we go to a tribunal and him being a full international gives us decent leverage.

I get all of that but they have been playing in a period of extreme restrictions imposed on the club - what would they be like with better pegs around them ? Who knows maybe we never will but it’s difficult to think they can’t do much better

Someone posted yesterday along the lines of... "At least we now know what league we'll be in... hopefully the recruitment process will now swing into action, if it hasn't already started" type thing.

Does anyone know when this so-called EFL review of our financial restrictions is likely to be held, and ergo, when DCFC know precisely what limitations they will be up against this summer transfer window?  Is there a specific date?
Do we really have a few extra weeks head start over the play off teams, or are our hands still tied at this point?  🤷‍♂️

I think that’s the end of Belick who needs to be sold if we can get any money for him as we probably still owe Arsenal upcoming instalments

  12. He did ok, we should have made the play offs based on where we were but the officials in various games made a concerted effort to stop that from happening. We’re we better under Rosinior - no we were poor and very lucky to achieve what points we achieved at home whilst unlucky away. interesting to see what happens going forward.

With all due respect to both of them, they’ve looked pretty expendable this season. They certainly don’t look out of place in League One based on what we’ve seen this year.

I know what you mean but they didn’t look out of place in the championship either which basically indicates that there isn’t much difference with the majority of the clubs in the two divisions
