He was good for Brentford...7 years ago? If he’s still got it in his locker, and wages are not big I’m fine with it. But we’ve already got an attacker that we’ve taken a flier on in Ibe and we’re still waiting to see if he plays any part next season. Any players coming in need to be able to play and perform consistently, as well as help support you g players coming through (likely to be a high number)

He’s been on huge wages at Norwich and Huddersfield and done nothing with both of them delighted to get rid of him - we have seen this before haven’t we

Sorry, it doesn’t make sense to me.

Despite what we all think about the EFL I don’t think they would suggest that if Mel confesses, says sorry and offers to pay a fine they’d continue to pursue a points deduction but, if a new owner said the same they’d treat it differently.

EFL just wanted a win of any kind to avoid all the legal fees in my most humble opinion

Linked with Newcastle, Sheff United and Fulham according to the S*n

Would be a good signing for any of them sadly and would still be a good signing for us but I would suggest we can’t afford his wages no doubt.

Are we one of the very few clubs to not be selling season tickets at this stage?! 12 weeks out until the season kicks off. Going to be a mad rush

I don’t think there will be - there will be a lot of gaps in the stands next season. Now I have paid for mine last September which will roll on I suppose but I would happily take my money back if I could and just attend on a game by game basis as I know I will be missing at least 4-6 games next season probably

The ‘sanction’ is decided by the tribunal having considered our submissions and those of the EFl. What’s being said suggests the EFL will press for a lesser penalty if the owner is not MM. If it’s right, it’s an indication of how personal it’s got between MM and the EFl and how foolish it is to wage war against your regulator

That simply can’t be the case as it destroys all the rules and they can’t be seen to be inconsistent

  6. Hard to sell anything football related when there is a pandemic going on for any club - whilst our troubles are being enflamed by the national media other clubs must be in similar positions but any potential owner would think ( mistakenly) that they could sell 28-30,000 tickets to us lot.

there is a major football reset occurring this summer with so many players being released who will not get other jobs because the money simply will not be coming in and no club can guarantee selling players anymore as well as being unable to afford loan fees.

the parachute clubs will be be so far away from the rest this season it will be staggering

How did we come to this mess from a business man who made plenty of money, worry time plus I here wages unpaid, how true I don't know but if so we in it deep

It fairly simple - an owner trying to please 30,000 supporters with what they demanded (ambition) and once that isn’t going so well a major virus comes along and totally kills football income to a low percentage.
one thing is for sure - there are going to be an awful lot of unemployed footballers this summer or ones appearing to be putting little effort in because they are now being paid 25-50% less than they were previously (obviously talking about the championship here)

I can honestly say this is the 1st year in a long time that I have no anxiety about anyone leaving. As much as I would like to keep Buchanan, Knight and Sibley i wouldn't lose sleep if anyone left.

Bielik is the one I'd be gutted if we sold and no one is going to buy him just yet.

Buchanan playing so little would suggest he was being saved. England under 21 full back, full of promise, Bristol City would command 13 million, so we would probably be looking at 3 rising to 5 million.

Knight a full international, one of Republic of Irelands shining lights, another 3 to 5 million.

Bird and Sibley couple of million a pop.

If ever there was a time the academy was the future (or lifeline) for the club, it is now!

I am glad you are not in charge of our transfer policy to be honest

Im not saying get rid of them, they will be good squad players for sureand agree they are still young in a difficult season

Lets hope the take over does happen as need hardened championship players,we certainly need two central defenders as i doubt Matt Clarke will be released for a third season and dont get me started about Wisdom,Edmonson will go back to Rangers but could come back on the cheap,we also need better cover for Beilik as i can see him being the next George Thorne

Bielik should be sold purely because of the risk factor for injuries from now on when he is sellable.- Clarke just isn’t good enough for the premiership and Brighton don’t need him but weather we can get him again is another matter.

I’d take roberts on a full season loan if we can afford also be looking at what price rangers want for edmundson as for striker I’d see what brum want for big jutkiewicz and have Marriott play off him with Lawrence in behind..

Marriott needs to leave and so does Lawrence whilst Roberts gives you very little in my opinion in the championship

Thats all well and good if there good enough,Bird,Sibley and Knight have all flattered to deceive this season and both Buchanan and Forsyth have been outshone by Malone at Millwall with goals and assists.

When you look at potential in a player then look at Hughes and Hendrick now we are talking about youthful potential

We need at least 7 decent signings this summer if not more to give us a squad that is big enough to come with a full season,

We can’t afford the likes of Malone though it’s the kids and senior professionals without clubs who will play for the type of money they are not used to receiving as in much smaller amounts

We have no centre backs next season, I read an interview with him where he said he wanted to carry on playing

May as well keep him around (on reduced terms as I’m sure he’d understand) - we’d only have to replace him if we didn’t

Absolutely this - obviously much reduced terms but we actually need him unless we are bringing four centre halfs which is unlikely

5 goals in 12 games as an out and out striker for us, not a bad return. He seems to be getting in the right places at the right time, also has a good leap on him for a smaller striker. Would be happy to see Bennett and Wallace up front for us going into next season. If Bennett can stay fit, then reckon that would be a partnership to knock on the play-offs.

Still not completed a full match though, although he was taken off on the 92nd minute in one match so we could time waste, so you could give him that one.

Do you have any more players you want to offload to us on the cheap?

He has 6 now I believe - more than Marriott Waghorn and Lawrence put together - a lot cheaper as well
