Not sure if this a WUM but I look at it like this....regardless of his managerial knowledge and decisions what Rooney has done is give stability to a very unstable situation and that is a fact not an opinion.
Imagine what a mess it might've become without Rooney being here because I can only imagine that the youngsters that we've had to rely on heavily this season have gone that extra yard and wanted to impress Rooney because he is Wayne Rooney
yes i think he's made errors he's learning on the job but at least football wise he's given stability and continuity and kept repeating that all he can do is influence what happens on the pitch and the training ground and I for one think he's done very well.
I think we could have been down by now without his leadership and also a big mention to Rosenior and all of the coaching team 
I actually think had Rooney made the club even more unstable by walking away we would have struggled to get anyone decent in to run it under our present circumstances and would've meant more of our youngsters possibly wanting out ......WR deserves a proper crack at it here when/if we get back to a normal situation but regardless of this I will never forget what he has done for us in extremely difficult circumstances whether we miraculously stay up or not

Agree, can't understand  why he thinks that. This season has been the best for fans for quite a few years, he has brought all the players and fans together and that takes some doing in the mess we are in. The longer we can keep him the better.

If he can achieve this with his hands tied behind his back, imagine what he could accomplish when given a fair crack of the whip.

How have you got to seven months?  We went into administration on 17th September 2021 or thereabouts.  I make that just over five months.  And this is a complex case with the size of debt, parties that we owe money to, ground ownership, claims from other clubs.  If it hadn’t been for the claims, particularly MFC as WWFC have yet to formally submit one, we would have had a PB in early January.
Since the resolution of the MFC issue the administrators have asked for formal bids and allowed seven days to submit.  That seemed reasonable.  And it’s common practice for bids to go in at the last minute.
A couple of months ago I posted this table in the “Admins chased” thread.  The average duration for a club being in administration is about 8/9 months. And our case will be more complex than average.
 

But if nobody will offer what the administrators want to satisfy the creditors then you don't get a preferred bidder, it is not a case of sell at any price.

We all want that, including believe it or not, the Administrators.
There's a lot of debt and baggage with the Club, it was never going to be easy to sell.

Errr you have to give buyers notice of a deadline - can't just ring them up and say what's your bid?!

There could be another more positive possibility.
The interested parties have clearly placed their bids already, the admins have written to the interested parties to ask them to up their offers, should they wish.  The interested parties, Ashley included, think their offers are more than fair and it's a kind of, take it or leave it.
If the admins are confident of naming a PB by the weekend, they are either stupid, lying, or are aware they do have something to work with already.
 

Is that true? I accept that there seems to have been long periods where nothing seems to have happened, but the issue with Boro seems to have gone away (maybe not down to the administrators, but progress all the same), they’ve got to the stage where they’ve asked for formal bids - that seems like progress too. One assumes they couldn’t have got to that point without them sorting out a myriad of issues behind the scenes that I don’t understand - that seems like progress.  
I understand the impatience, but nothing is gained by inaccuracy, hyperbole or exaggeration.

Think Parry should be considering his position, the accusations of being given free reign to piss all over the rules is damning imo. Only reason Stoke (selling losses to parent company) and Forest (related party dodgy deals) are not being prosecute(persecuted) is they haven’t finished 1 place above the wrong team. 

Presumably if the two clubs don’t take up MMs offer then he could indemnify the bidders against any costs resulting from the claims thereby removing the perceived risk to the new owners.
