RamuelLJackson reacted to Rammy03 in Colin Kazim-Richards - Signed for Fatih Karagümrük
Sad to see him go. He was brilliant for us, scored some important goals and was a big part of why we stayed up in 20/21 and then getting as close as we did last season. Gave his all for the club and did far better than I expected. Thank you CKR ?

Colin Kazim-Richards, Ram.

RamuelLJackson reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Colin Kazim-Richards - Signed for Fatih Karagümrük
Wasn’t impressed when we signed him, sort of signified the desperate situation we were in. He completely won me over with his leadership and attitude during really difficult times, plus a couple of decent moments on the pitch!
It’s clear the club and squad is moving on now so a thank you and good bye makes sense, I wish him well for the future.

Far better than anyone here expected from a journeyman, drenched in class. Without the injury record last season, I'm fully sure he gets another year. He'll go down as an unsung hero for sure.

Good luck to him in the remainder of his career and in footballing retirement.
Was much better than I thought he would be and is clearly a top bloke irrespective of his on-field achievements.

RamuelLJackson reacted to Animal is a Ram in Korey Smith - Signed 2 year deal
Another player speaking about 'the project' and rejecting Championship teams to join Derby.
Think it goes to show we're trying to recruit the right sort and tempraments. You sure can't accuse these players of coming for a payday.

I'm never buying into people's opinion of a player based on their history again since bucko.

I mean admittedly I actually really enjoy that side of things. I enjoy getting in the weeds with stats and trying to analyse exactly what a player is doing and why. And I enjoying coming on here and really discussing it with people. But I'm an analytical person and football is far from the only thing I'm like this with.
If you don't enjoy and it sucks the fun out of it for you, I'm sorry to hear that and I can definitely see how it wouldn't be for everyone.

RamuelLJackson reacted to May Contain Nuts in Kirchner- A risk or a potential reward
That was the end game. Attempt to influence proceedings from the outside then watch and wait as others fall by the wayside, before swooping in last minute as the 'hero'. Thankfully a real hero turned up and showed him up for a phony.
I see Maguire's still an unfunny tosspot in love with himself with the 'golden boy' nonsense.
Fact still remains that no other parties were willing or able to put in a decent offer to rival his at the time, not even close, and with no legal barrier to disqualify his bid there really was no other option than naming CK PB.

Not sure but thank goodness his money was non-existent. Also if he hadnt lined up to help him through by buying the stadium, would David Clowes have known enough detail about our position and been able to act so quickly to save us? So without CK as many have said perhaps we wouldnt have had David Clowes. A real sliding doors moment when CK's money failed to show. Wonder if we will ever know how close we were to oblivion

That would honestly be a complete disaster waiting to happen with how we are looking to play.

I think even Cashin himself wouldn't expect to be competing with Collins and McGoldrick!

You can't call somebody naive and then start crying about it when somebody does the same to you ?.

Rosenior is simply not going to play Stearman at full back in a 4-3-3.
He'd play someone more mobile out of position.

More chance of Knight or Smith starting RB

RamuelLJackson reacted to IslandExile in New signings, who will be first...and next?
After 74/75 was quite good. Champions of England and then adding Charlie George.

RamuelLJackson reacted to EraniosSocks in Wiil you be disappointed if we finish outside the top 2???
After the last few years with bad news and just pure undoubted worry. I expect top ten and that’s all I’m saying to myself. I said last year I just want to be there when we lose to Forest Green Rovers away, know it’s my club and we have a future

RamuelLJackson reacted to Alty_Ram in Wiil you be disappointed if we finish outside the top 2???
I think the problem may be in the phrasing. Arguably we will all be sort of 'disappointed' if we finish outside a certain fairly lofty position because that's football fans for you (we live in hope) but the question is, which type are you? Are you disappointed in the same way that when we don't beat Liverpool in a Cup tie (i.e. not really surprised, just disappointed that the cup journey is over) or would you consider finishing outside the top 2 as an abject failure ? A playoff season would be a cracking season IMHO and spirited top half with momentum going into next year would be fine by me. The trouble with saying that you would be disappointed with 3rd makes it sound like you are expecting to blow the division away and anything less than top 2 will see you sat there with arms folded and a sour face.

RamuelLJackson reacted to FlyBritishMidland in Wiil you be disappointed if we finish outside the top 2???
Absolutely it does. There’s a chap on my row who yells dogs abuse. Even last season and it really does my head in. And he’ll be the first to to turn if thing don’t go well at the start of the season.
To me it’s quite simple. If customers where you worked turned up and boo-d and swore at you what would you think? Would that get the best out of you? Yet, because they’re on a football pitch, we think that’s OK and it has no impact on their performance.

Oh, I do hope so.
We have been debating forever on here about whether the crowd being supportive has a bearing on the result, with a small but significant minority saying it doesn't .
I hope we can put that one to bed now. IT DOES!
