nottingram got a reaction from Indyram in The Administration Thread
I think that is a bit of a cheap and easy line though - I don’t think the players sold materially affect the vale of the club? And Shinnie and Jagielka the only ones who left who affected the first team’s chances of survival if that’s what they mean, arguably only Jagielka even given Shinnie would’ve been a bit part player.
Dont mean this to say we should’ve sold more, just an easy line to use when your offer wasn’t enough.

I struggle with legal language but I assume this section means the money can be paid re. broadcasting but is then immediately frozen. (6.2 and 6.3)
I’m probably misunderstanding.

I would suggest that while £7.5m is not much to HMRC, it is quite a lot to the thousands of households facing a cost of living crisis while their payments to HMRC go up too, who might not appreciate them foregoing £7.5m to make a point about the one football administration we get maybe every other year.
The debt should never have been run up, but now it has I think it is HMRC’s duty to be sensible about things.

Not the point of the thread I know but I weirdly think that goal v Hull is quite overrated, I think it’s that the finish is not very aesthetically pleasing because it is crap goalkeeping. Much prefer Ravel’s because he makes the keeper look an absolute mug as well.
I think the last few league games under Lampard were really good and pretty much the exact opposite of the Derby bottlers tag. Scoring twice in stoppage time to beat QPR at home, smash and grab away at Bristol City and then a really comfortable win in a do or die final day v West Brom. In hindsight probably shouldn’t have bothered as all it did was poke Steve Gibson’s nest.

But it explains why the administrators are hesitant to tell them anything. It is hardly ideal for it to come out that Ashley was due to be named preferred bidder but that plan collapsed.

If they are right that the EFL have been leaking confidential information, then I see no problem with it.
Their comms with fans hasn’t been good enough, I dare say they’d admit that and it might even be purposeful. The EFL, however, can go duck themselves. The administrators are clearly not happy with them and that is fine by me.

Was it Adrian Durham?
I am pretty confident if we had a bid of even half that for Lawrence, he’d have gone

I think if we were starting next season on -15 points anyway, I’d rather it be in League 1. I think we’d be more likely to get promoted from League 1 starting on -15, than we would survive in the Championship under the same conditions.
But hopefully it’s moot. Easy for me to say as it’s not my cash, but I can’t see why any new owner would rather start on -15 over the sake of a few million quid, when they’re already committing to many millions as part of the running costs anyway.

So that’s two tickets he’s bought now, after the Birmingham game too. Means he only owes us another £2,299,950.
