My friend has not long left of his life, He has terminal cancer and has maybe only weeks to live.  He had his first season ticket when he came out of the army in the mid fifties, and has had it every season since, and then when he married in 1963 his wife had one too, they never missed a home match, but then covid came along and they have not been again. We have a mutual friend who lives in the USA he is in the UK this week end and is taking my friend to what is likely to be his last match ever. I'm just hoping if there are any protests it wont affect the match. So please spare a thought or a prayer if your so minded on Saturday. I wont say his name as he hated social media as much as he loved the Rams. So UP THE RAMS  P will be thinking of you.

If you read their timeline, they were reviewing bids over the weekend and then discussing them with the EFL “early this week” before announcing the PB. “Early this week” is of course open to interpretation but I reckon it includes at least Monday and Tuesday. So, whilst Q have indicated many failed expected timelines in the past, I think Tuesday evening is a little early to be accusing them of bullshitting on this occasion. If we’ve not heard anything by the the end of the week then your comments may be valid.
I reckon, they should avoid radio silence and if they’re still not able to announce the PB by the end of week they should issue some kind of update along the lines of:
    1) Details of PB discussed with the EFL and we await their response (the ball is firmly in the EFL’s court)
    2) PB agreed with the EFL, just a few minor details to be finalised before able to announce. Expected timeline is……
or 3) PB discussed with the EFL and there are issues that need to be resolved or discussions are still ongoing (coded message for either the EFL didn’t like any of the preferred bidders or the terms of their bid and we’ve had to go back to try to get them increased)
In short, I accept there may still be a reason why they can’t announce a PB but they shouldn’t keep us completely in the dark

I think I read somewhere that EFL meet on Thursday. If so, admins may delay until last minute to prevent the leaks.

I don’t think it’s strange. Sure MM was wreckless and then Covid spoiled his escape route. He was the instigator of our woes. No doubt about that,
But the EFL ? Supposedly the even handed governing body has kicked us, kicked us again and spat in our faces at every turn. Where were they in the farce that was Boro and Wycombe ? How come we were forced to field kids in a cup game or couldn’t re sign loaned veterans on short term deals. How come when judgements - made according to their own procedures - by their independent panels did they express “regret” or “reluctantly” accept decisions ? Mel made a mess but the EFL wanted to make an example of us and at the same time has been craven and dishonest in submitting to pressure from the likes of Boro. It’s rank hypocrisy and damned nasty

That's the problem with constantly asking for updates. Any response given is just a snapshot in time in an ever evolving, complex situation.
If that's what they believed at the time of asking the and if they've answered honestly - which is basically what their latest statement was saying ("given in good faith") - but then someone else throws a spanner in the works, acts unexpectedly, doesn't stick to their word then that answer becomes invalid very quickly.
They've definitely been naive with their previous statements and rightly criticised for the wording so it's not really a surprise they're being a lot more off-hand and guarded with their statements now, or refusing to say anything at all to certain people - they probably think they've been burned enough times already.
Either that or they're outright lying to us and have been all along, having a merry old time of putting their professional reputation on the rocks and costing themselves future work.
Perhaps what they should have done from the outset was only put out the 'nothing statements' we see now? I can't really imagine that would have gone down too well either though tbh.
The admins are acting in lieu of an actual club owner, but they aren't actually football chairmen, or even 'football people' at all. Sometimes people seem to forget that.

I can see why people are so disillusioned with modern football, I’m one of them.
however, if there’s one thing positive to take away from this whole situation we find ourselves in it’s how it’s brought us all together.
The March to the stadium, paying off (and over) the St Johns Ambulance debt to name a couple of occasions where Derby fans have shown how much the club means to the area. If we start next season in League One on -15 points at least we’ll have a club to support and we should keep this Us against the world mentality ongoing.
Keep supporting the club and don’t let the fat cats ruin your love for football. I never wanted us to get promoted because of what the Premier League has become.

Old people are fed up with football, its always the same. When I was a kid my dads generation were moaning about greedy footballers with long hair like George Best. The old players like Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney etc were working class lads who played for the love of the game according to them and it was true, but the world changed and footballers became famous and rich.
Nowt changes, old buggers like us will moan and say their done with it but thats always been the case. Young uns will take over and take up the challenge.
There is a huge young, vibrant fanbase in Derby right now and they will keep this club going like us lot did back int he 1980's.
Get involved, get angry, put pressure on Quantuma and the EFL, keep fighting.
Come on you fecking big beautiful Rams.

I agree Derby County is a fundamental part of people's lives, it can't just be defined as a football team. To me personally its memories.  Happiness...sadness..glory days and depressing days.. but days that form a bond inside of every fan.
I have supported this team all of my life..loved every minute of it..like others I've never lived in Derby but visited the place enough that it feels like family.
Today was a sad day for me, got a phonecall early in the morning here telling me my dad had been rushed into hospital back in the UK..87 years old and the doctor said he had fluid around his heart...his heart was failing..im a long way away in Canada..I called him on Whats App...what did he say to me? When does the game start.  Don't miss the game I'm fine....
He was off for tests..I watched the game the boys made me proud again as they do so often and I had another memory another addition to the bond of the Derby fan. My dad improved during the day, long way to go but they are pleased with him, responded well to the meds..will have a procedure on Monday that they hope will sort him out.
So life goes on..a traumatic day passes  in the life of a Derby fan.

This just shows how much the ridiculous amounts of money at the top of the game have ruined football.
