    It is our fault..
We haven't paid the HMRC, other clubs for their players.
    It's all our fault.

Cost us the game today when he took Morrison off. Tactically he's miles off and in any normal club he's fire on his results which are woeful.
    With any luck he resigns.

We have made a signing knowing Beilik was injured and chose not to cover that position. This is a new injury so EFL will allow us to cover it. EFL may have a million inadequacies but this isn’t one. When you constantly play with fire you tend to get burnt in the end. Morris probably not looking as smug anymore

I'd like to read Nicholson's book when he retires so the truth can be outed.
There's quite clearly something wrong with the way the local reporters appear to be silent on  DCFC matters. You'd even go as far as thinking the club had some kind of say on what they can say and what they CAN'T say.
Other than Chris Coles breaking the news of the behind closed doors meeting, not one reporter has since questioned what was said there and pushed the matter further.
The local boys should be all over this demanding answers. Every hour of every day. The fans would back them to the hilt. Perhaps Melvyn is wise enough to know he can't afford the backlash.
    Coward !

Is this a deliberate stalling tactic by the club in the hope that the longer this goes on the more disinterested people will become?
Or are they biding their time for some castostropic piece of news to drop so they can conceal the release in the shadow of that?

A big cheer my arse,he's still here because he had no where else to go,was saved from relegating us after a horrendous run of poor games and bad results by the even worse fortune of some other teams and has managed to bring yet more bad publicity by his juvenile antics last week.
He can have a cheer when he starts getting results and playing better football with some level of coherence.

I think the word disgrace is a pretty mild adjective for Mel Morris' stewardship of the club quite frankly- I can think of far more accurate descriptors which wouldnt be allowed on a family website.

Mel knows better than every manger he’s hired according to himself. You cant just flood a team with academy graduates, you have to blend it with experience and bed then in gently, not just throw them to the wolves!!
    the bloke is ******* deluded

Spot on comment, this closed shop forum tonight shows just what a complete shambles it all is, Mel hasn't got the b*lls to face the fans, instead he's called in people that he 'thinks' he may have a chance of controlling what they will report back.
I think its about time some on here took their rose tinted spectacles off and realised that Mel has made a right mess of the club and that the 2019 accounts are not going to be great reading and as for the 2020, coronavirus is just going to compound things further.

I trust the attendees to share what they know (or are legally allowed to), but it’s another own goal for the club to say “NDA, but don’t worry fans, we will release the minutes” and then decide to not release the minutes.

Is there any trust left between the club and its supporters?

What a complete state of a club we have become ...just read through the 12 pages on this thread....I just do not get how anyone can possibly have sympathy with Mr Morris when we are in such a shocking mess......debts to the HMRC are     in-excuseable !!!
Good loyal fans on here wanting answers about a club they love yet the owner will no doubt only answer questions he's comfortable with with well rehearsed answers yet we owe millions to the HMRC........
When just when we will get back to talking about the game we grew up as kids loving instead of finances and aspects of running a business that many of us will know nothing about.......I think its a total disgrace how it has come to this .......I would rather have the yanks back .........than someone who cannot genuinely face us like one of us and just be honest....I think we have all had enough of this and I'll be honest it has affected my sleep as I'm so worried this club is in deep deep trouble and much more than we can imagine as Collymore alluded to .....

My original post seems to have been deleted, which I think tells us all we need to know about what questions will be allowed to be asked or answered by DCFC.  I wonder why there has been so many negative posts about the club deleted, we already know that the Derby Telegraph are on the naughty step.............
Wait until the accounts are all published, I believe that the fans will be up in arms when you realise just how much debt we are actually in.  Lets face it failing to pay the HMRC and the players on time is hardly a resounding vote of confidence as to the state of the clubs finances.  I'll happily have a £100 charity bet loser pays if we are in a better financial state (Debts) than when Mel took over.
Mel Morris who once courted the media has been conspicuous by his absence since it has all; gone wrong!
I'd like to know why was my post deleted, are we too frightened to ask the difficult questions or has a certain moderator been told that certain questions can not be asked therefore deleting them?  My post was made in all seriousness and I'd happily meet Mel and calmly ask him lots of questions, the trouble is, I very mush doubt Mel would like to answer questions about recklessly stewardship of our club, which includes selling our biggest asset the stadium...

If we can only sign 3 or 4 then we might as well just give up now.
    Shambles of a club.
Mel Morris took over a club on the brink of the premier League and turned them into a shoe in for relegation to League One. With that little money we can't sign more than 3 free transfers.
I'll never forgive that bloke for what he's done to this football club.
And I hope the fans going on Saturday let him know exactly what they think of him.

I b*****y well hope so but it seemed Mel was seduced by the Lampard effect and somehow thought Rooney could replicate it. But for me Rooney had been poor and slow and an impediment to success for all his teams for a decade. Your two Rooney posts are very fair and make good points and although I dislike Rooney for it, you can't blame him for not looking a gifthorse in the mouth, but you can blame Mel. Our owner made a great decision with Cocu and then pulled the rug from under him by bringing in Rooney. And now we're completely stuck and the work Cocu was doing, as he was tasked, to raise the value of academy products as a business model for the club, has completely fallen by the wayside.

Don't underestimate the strength of fan power. Sadly though there's a distinct lack of anger towards Melvyn on the basis he's one of our own. He's killed the club - we should be running him out the club.

To be perfectly honest. I don't care about hearing about a takeover. After the last 2, I'd rather just know about it when it's done.
    The takeover isn't bothering me.
What's bothering me is that the man that owns us has ran us into the ground.
The man that owns us was a man that grew up on the terraces of the Baseball Ground like we all did, a fan, a supporter, been there through the good and through the bad, a man who supposedly wants the best for the club, a man who would sell us for £1 if it was to the right person.
Takeover or not, how this man has allowed us to be one week and 6 days from a season starting without us being able to put a team out is quite frankly disgusting. How can he be letting this happen?
They would have known that they would have to resubmit their accounts long before the verdict was announced (or at the very worse know that it was highly likely that it was going to happen) How they haven't been submitted already is beyond a joke. Mel knows exactly what we need to do to get out of this embargo and he hasn't done it.
Takeover or not, we should not be in this position, even in the dark times we have had, we have always had a team.
How can we be going into a season a week on Saturday without a centre half in the squad is disgusting.
Stephen Pearce is despicable, he's bare faced lied on Radio Derby and 3 weeks ago he did an interview with the BBC saying "We have a core of senior players and extremely talented academy players that is enough to operate with and we have a plan for the rest of the window, we are not rushing to fill the squad"
We have one centre forward and no centre halves but according to Pearce we have enough to operate with.
Also we haven't heard a single thing from the club since then and no positive actions have been done to get us out of this embargo.
How Pearce and Morris have treated the fans is nothing short of disgraceful. They don't care about us.
This is the worst state the club has been in my lifetime and the blame lies at one man's door.
Cannot wait till he's out if this club and never comes back. The bloke is poison.
Always remember when things are going well he was everywhere.
