There was a good question on "would Paul Warne at the height of his playing days get into the current Derby team?"
He gave a good answer, but the subtext was that he likes athletic players, and that he knows whether a player is Championship standard or not (saying he has no idea why he got games in the Championship because he wasn't good enough!)
In the context of the later comment  about contract renewals and changes - I think we just have to trust that he will make the right choices (within whatever financial restraints he has)

I think the best policy is for those of us not there last night to reserve judgement until we have watched the full recording rather than respond to snippets leaked via X. That includes me.

Thanks. That does add more context. No more decisions before the end of the season make total sense. If the bit about changes in the summer sounds a bit better and, again, a lot of sense. Perhaps DD was a little clumsy combining the comments in one tweet.

Depends what you're there for, really.

I was there, and it was a flippant short answer "no" - because all of his other answers had been lengthy and light-hearted
The context was actually that they don't plan to make any more decisions on contracts until they know what division we are in next season. That the focus is 100% on the seven remaining games
The bit added on the tweet about "lots of changes" was not, as I remember it, said in the direct context of answering that question.
FWIW I recommend everyone watch the replay tomorrow, but only Warne's bits - the rest was really, really dull

I like the political intent behind a lot of his work, much more than I like his artistic style (stencilled graffiti art is not exactly original)

Does it have to be a choice?  For me it is both art and vandalism.  The thing about art is that it's left to opinion, saying this is art but that isn't is missing the point of art.  If one feels that something is art, then for that person it is art, if enough people consider some work art, then it is popular art.  It is the effect that is the art.

    Such wonderfully off-the-wall humour.
Also Curb Your Enthusiasm continues to challenge social mores.
Last night’s example of the cringey chain message posts on social media and the difficulty in extricating yourself from such chains was a classic.
Larry D continues to face taboos head on. Long may he continue.

I thought this the first time...years later went again and myself and others would make up a 'backstory' about the image in front of us. We were quite serious and it became enjoyable. Puts a different perspective on that, for example, blue stripe down the centre of a pure white background. My take on this was "After years of Earth being in an ice age, the first flowing river was spotted. One by one people came out of the shelters and could begin again".
To answer op question. His artwork is different and usually has a message behind it.

It's looking like a real possibility. See here (ironically shared on Twitter):
What's also concerning is the content that's being fed to kids and other vulnerable people. I defend TikTok for being more than just a "teenagers doing silly dances" app, but there is a darker side to it. Some of the livestreamed content is, at best, mindless, and the worst stuff is actively harmful. It's not moderated properly by TikTok; parents have no idea it exists; and kids won't know any better when they consume it. See here https://www.businessinsider.com/tiktok-live-all-night-clickbait-grifts-scams-sleep-streamers-twitch-2023-2
And this isn't just restricted to TikTok. Other dangerous content (see misogynistic, "alpha male" content on all platforms, particularly Twitter) is out there and accessible to kids without restriction. I think it would be completely wrong to ban kids from social media, but the tech platforms should be doing far more to moderate the content that's published. This is why the "free speech at all costs" approach is wrong imo.

It felt like a watershed, the most important and significant advance in tech and comms I'd ever seen and would perhaps ever see, but as Berners Lee suggests, it does rather feel that rather than bring us together, it's had the opposite effect. Perhaps as I grow older, my cynicism grows in tandem, but it's hard to imagine a world where this trend is reversed. Ironically, perhaps the only way to improve things is through less engagement, not more and in so much, I'm left thinking that we have only ourselves to blame.
