I've been away, and the last I heard was on the night when David said he would post his report the following morning. Came on here today expecting to read some details, but am I right in concluding that nothing of substance has actually been reported back?
If David's place at the meeting was as a representative of this forum, then it does beg the question as to "what was the point?"

Didn't i read somewhere that Mel pays the hosting fees for this forum (or at least has some kind of financial arrangement with David?) If so then it was probably a matter of courtesy to not endanger that relationship. 
Or I may have just imagined that

For me it is very concerning that numerous representatives were at the meeting yet we still no absolutely nothing about the contents of it. What little has come out we all knew anyway. Once again a farce and a slap in the face of the fan base.

Thank you but this really shouldn’t be necessary. 
Some people take this stuff way too seriously.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Was reading the main board for a bit and thought it's much more fun on the Covid board!
I think the Covid debate has been much more civil than the old days too. Most of the debate has been of a more statistical nature rather than purely opinions.
I reckon I may have a lot in common politically with the likes of @TexasRam and @Archied, but on the interpretation of numbers, we couldn't be further apart.
I'm praying @TexasRam is finally right this time and things will be all good soon.

Because if you are vaccinated it reduces your chance of catching it by 60%. Additionally, if you catch it anyway and you are vaccinated, it also reduces your chance of passing it on to others by about the same amount.
A nice double whammy.
This is why the Kent variant (Aloha variant) has been virtually wiped out. It is less transmissible and that 60% impact has reduced it's transmissibilty So that it can't effectively reproduce.
Not all good news though because the Astra Zeneca vaccine is only 10% effective against the Beta variant.
This is the variant circulating in parts of France at the moment and why the government are being so careful about travellers arriving back from France at the moment.

Without seeing the chart I guess its because all the elderly/vulnerable have been jabbed now and covid is just working through the rest - or the ones that are largely immune to the worst of the effects of the virus.
Some elderly and vulnerable will still die - 40% of hospitalizations are double jabbed, because the ravages of time will eventually come to us all.  The 60% that aren't double jabbed are just the 'unlucky' ones that despite being in the younger, healthier age groups suffer a bad reaction - but they are, unfortunately, the unlucky ones and therefore the overall numbers being hospitalized is still small.

I get that they've said double jabbed people won't have to isolate after 16th August in order to maximise the effect but why not say that if you're pinged and you've had the second jab more than, say, 3 weeks ago then you don't have to isolate now.
I had my second jab over a month ago now. As you say, I've kept the app as a warning and just so I know to get a test but I have no intention of isolating if negative or unless I'm contacted direct by T&T.
I don't answer the phone or door if I don't know who people are anyway??
