At least he's said no more updates this weekend so everyone can take a screen break tomorrow, spend some time with the family, a book, or an old record collection, recharge those batteries ready to furiously hit that F5 button throughout Monday.

A bloke who doesn't know how to run a football club brings in an experienced chief executive to keep on top of the day to day operations. And supporters keep whinging.
Because clearly the idea of the owner calling the shots on all footballing decisions worked well for the club..... ?

It really is bonkers how the club hasn't really had a quiet few months for 7 or 8 years at least now.
Thorne going on strike and then finally getting a move and getting injured within days. Albentosa and the innersoles. Butterfield's arrest because of his toe-nibbling mate. Pearson's suspension due to a bust up with Mel over apparent drone usage to spy on training.  Sam Rush's sacking, the 2 million Mbappe/Dembele scouting mission with the Ince family and the resulting court case. The Cardiff video from their players about Keogh and Shackell. Spygate. Mel selling the stadium to himself. The drunken car crash. Rooney signing and the 32Red controversy. FFP breaches. Ramage and his racist comments. Wisdom getting stabbed. A rumoured investor (Gabay) being arrested over a tax scandal. The fake sheikh Mel spent months negotiating with. Erik Alonso and the time wasted with him. The inter-changeable EFL fixture list. The EFL fine and what seemed like never-ending appeals until they got what they wanted as a punishment. Marriott's contract extension clause being activated in January only for the EFL to essentially rip up his contract in the summer allowing him to leave for nowt. Starting the season with 12 senior players and having to beg the EFL to let us add more. Rooney injuring Knight in training. The points deductions. Administration. Wycombe and Boro make it known they plan to take legal action against the club. The never-ending EFL/administrators/preferred bidder deadlines we've heard about for months. All of that within a decade for a second tier club! And that doesn't include the multiple times Mel didn't pay wages, half of the dumb stuff the EFL have done involving us, youngsters being nabbed left and right and more. Can we please just get back to having a boring club to support where our only worries are injuries, transfers and results. ?

If they decide to switch to Mike Ashley (or anyone else), it's almost like starting from scratch - he's going to have to go through all the EFL business plan stuff again, Quantuma are going to have to redo all the waterfall stuff again if the purchase price/model is different and so on.  We're almost certainly going to need funding for this months wages while that's going on.  And Ashley is not going to start putting in money in while all that's going on, because it could all still fall through.
If they extend Kirchner's exclusivity period again, I'm going to assume it's because there has been some kind of positive movement this week, behind the scenes.

Q should be listening to all bids, even the ones which don't exist, not entering into periods of exclusivity or extending them for any one bidder. That's the correct way to do things because I say so, even though I know nothing about the internal workings of the process I've decided that I know better than them and they're wrong. They're obviously wrong because it hasn't been sorted yet!
What's that? Q were listening to all bids on the table 3 months ago? OMG are they idiots? Why were they doing that? What they should have been doing instead of wasting time encouraging and weighing up various bids is just selected one and got on with it! Why?
