Nah, I wouldn't want her to either. Just my opinion, but I don't think it's worth the possible consequences.

The survey also found that 95 per cent of fans who had experienced VAR in stadiums and 94 per cent who had watched matches on TV with VAR decisions said that the setup had made watching matches less enjoyable; 95 per cent also unhappy about removal of spontaneous joy of goal celebrations
So a resounding success then ?

I think that excluding all the ridiculous hairline decisions, VAR has proved that most of the time the Ref & Lino are right. Angers me that Lineker & co  who used to constantly moan at the refs are now moaning about VAR which was brought in after the likes of them complained about refs in the first place.
I would much prefer to go back to the refs decision is final and just respect that position.

They are the same media who persuaded the population to give the Tories a landslide. Can't have it both ways.

    The media and scientists.
Every time anything happens they are scratching around for the latest 'expert scientist' who will give them their doom mongering view.
Its interesting that other scientists, with the same qualifications but the opposite view would be referred to as 'fringe scientists' rather than experts.
The media want the lockdown re-opening putting back purely so they can rip into the Government with 'but you promised we would scrap all measures on June 21st' type questions.
    Absolute vermin.

    I'm 33, the Mrs is under 30.
I've had one jab, she's had none. I don't really want people telling me I have to stay indoors and not do anything for another month.
We've both worked though the pandemic, and as a direct consequence caught Covid back in January.
Let me ducking live. Sick of people who are vaccinated saying we have to wait. No thanks.
It's really not asking much considering the NHS is safe, hospitalisation are low and old people who are fully vaccinated are going on holiday and drinking in pubs.
Just open up the ducking country. Far more damage is being done by keeping us locked down.

I actually see the Indian variant as being a sort of positive if that is possible.. People in that culture have had a huge wake up and are now getting the jab.. It amazes me that an Indian variant has been so long coming tbf.
My point still stands about the affects on the younger generations that have not been vaccinated yet, little or no problems with them. They cannot be the driver here. In fact they, more than most, wAnt to live their lives to the fullest.. Some have a small window to experience a lot of things before responsibilities take effect., They don’t want us nannying them. Let them and us live..

Yeah I am still really angry with the way the media have behaved throughout the pandemic but I've made the point, no need to keep mentioning it in every post.
I've never said they are the real problem though and have been very critical of the Government when I think they have made mistakes, I find that is more objective than just jumping on every decision they make as a way to attack Boris Johnson (who I actually think has been a terrible leader throughout the pandemic).

Is this the same Cummings that we were told was a bare faced liar 12 months ago? Amazing how eager some are to hang on his every word now!
Its also noticeable that alot of gone quiet on the comparisons with other countries now that the other countries have had their third wave of infections.
Remember when Germany were the gold standard in track and trace for Europe?
Pretty much all they are left with now are 2 countries out in the middle of nowhere and the middle eastern countries who have had experience of pandemics and are used to walking round wearing masks.

Im surprised that any of you actually still believe that @ariotofmyownposts are actually Covid related and not just thinly veiled policital posts!
In fact they arent even veiled, 4 out of the last 6 posts have been direct attacks on Boris Johnson.

    Yes.. We can’t hide anymore..

Variants are a reality of life now.. What do you suggest we do until we understand each possible variant?
Quantify cases? Hospitalised, ventilated, minor symptoms.. What’s the point of the vaccination if it does not mean anything changes? We can always move the goal posts on how we judge COVID to suit any position.. Should we view equally serious conditions in the same light as COVID? Flu kills and can be passed on. The common cold? Quick dust off the old nuclear shelter, buy some beans and hunker down.. For those who are genuinely worried about their own personal circumstances, then fine, do what you have to do.. Don’t go to major events, don’t go shopping at peak times, don’t have a meal in a restaurant.. Your choice 100% and I would support anyone doing this.. But the few cannot control my life now.. Sorry that may seem harsh but I’ve had enough.. I’ve done everything asked, been a good boy but it can do one now.

Do you know the future? No.
I think it can be extrapolated from the way the flu and other viruses mutate that covid will continue to mutate. We can also extrapolate that the vaccines can be tweeked to deal with this.
How will Covid spread uncontrolled, when many in the UK have already been vaccinated. Plus 'uncontrolled' for many seems to be little or no symptoms.
Do you really know what you are scared of?
