RammingStone66 reacted to Archied in The Administration Thread
Hobson s choice , ck sounds passionate about buying us but can’t or won’t pay what it costs to do it lock stock , ground and no further points deductions, Ashley obviously not making passionate noises and being clear he won’t pay the amount needed to buy us lock stock ( at least we know where we stand )
I would very much like there to be a derby county left to carry on supporting when all this is done but there is a very real threat that Morris has put the club beyond rescue financially and continues to do so but what do I or any of us fans matter whether old buggers like me lifelong or young ones just starting out on that journey with us as kids or grandkids tasting the atmosphere at games and listening to our memories of former glories and great times ,,,, football is broken , shame on Morris and not just him because football is infested with his type

Unfortunately its almost guaranteed to be cancelled. Andrade is getting offers for much bigger fights elsewhere and his injury is very very timely in that respect lol

I actually think he is but like a vulture, picking up scraps......

Apart from the £100 million fluidity proofed to Quantuma and the EFL you mean? FWIW, Brentford owner Matthew Benham set out with a fraction of that figure, but it clearly did not preclude success. A well run club does not need the likes of Ashley and his billions to prosper.

Q have given CK more time because he offers the best deal for the creditors - that’s what they’re employed to ensure…..

The only reason imo is that Q have been informed that there is a very good chance that the local consortium are on course to buy PP from MM, Hence CRs comment that it will soon be done ?♀️

RammingStone66 reacted to jono in The Administration Thread
I can’t comment on Q but it seems blindingly obvious that there have always been 2 factors that any buyer would need to right at the very start before bidding.
1) The stadium. What Mr Morris wants for it as a straight purchase or if that is too costly what monthly lease charge would he accept for say a 5/10 year tenure
2) what is the debt and what percentage of that debt is the buyer required to cover for the club to continue with its current status .. I.e. carry on in what ever league we are in with a lower figure and a minus 15 deduction.
All the above are empirical, clear, definable figures. Additionally I can’t see how an Admin can even offer the club for sale or a buyer bid for it unless the stadium issue was nailed down before the process even started.
This whole situation stinks to high heaven. I can’t help thinking MSD’s involvement needs looking at. The loans to the admin, the security on the stadium, deals with Mel as an individual. The debt from them attached to the club prior to admin.
Their fingers are in literally all the pies. They have the Club, The Admins and Mel all under their shadow. .. yet not a word is heard from them. ?

Seems to me Ashley wants the stadium More and pay less for club and admins. Kirchner wants club more to avoid deductions but can’t afford the stadium. Seems Ashley wants asset more than club so looking at best interests for himself

Rich people do not get rich by paying well over tge market value for anything, let alone a football club...

Not sure you can say that when he will willingly take a 15 point penalty which could see us relegated to league 2
If he doesn't pay off the 20% creditor debt in one go and does it over 2 years then we will stay under embargo until it is paid. No buying players, no loans and a wage cap of 4.5k was what Bolton got.

It's felt like a slow, drawn-out death for the past couple of years.
Ashley could 'save' us but it would only lead to an extension of that feeling. We'd be 'secure' but kept under lock and chain, miserable, depleted, feeding off scraps, begging for him to sell up to someone who'll treat us better.
All extraneous spending cut, Academy status down to Category 3, no Rams TV, stadium falling to bits, training facilities down to the most basic of standards...
It'd just be replacing one hell with another.

Success for Mike Ashley is inflating his bank account even more. He won’t care a jot what happens to the football club, make no mistake.

Why does it fall well short of the bar? It appears that the only thing 'wrong' with CK's offer is the stadium, as you mentioned. The EFL seemed satisfied that it does everything else required for the club to successfully exit administration without incurring the deduction.

Totally agree @IslandExile
I'd be more worried about MAs behavior lol, remember Iain Wright, chairman of the business committee, was quoted as saying about Sports Direct after the big inquiry *A business whose working practices are closer to that of a Victorian workhouse than that of a modern, reputable high-street retailer”. MPs said workers at Sports Direct were not always paid the national minimum wage and had been penalised for taking time off work when ill.
Wasn't MA quoted as saying he was a "power drinker"

I guess you are ruling Mike Ashley out too on the same basis, eh? Seen drinking beers with the fans in his early days at Newcastle.
I mean you wouldn't want to be inconsistent, would you?

After days of big stakes meetings being frustraited blowing off a bit of steam is understandale. It's not like him and his team are unfamilier with the positions, documents, barriers and needed the evening to prep. They're all only human.

RammingStone66 reacted to IslandExile in The Administration Thread
I agree. The club survivng is ultimately the only thing that really matters.
It's just so god damn frustrating - we could have a fresh, innovative new owner, a young manager with great potential that players - young and old - are desperate to play for, and a squad of talented young players.
But..... well you know.....

RammingStone66 reacted to S8TY in The Kirchner-Morris Summit Meeting
What is quite ironic is the notion that Morris was safeguarding our home which Lionel Pickering ( A proper fan ) helped build when he got MSD/Loans involved regarding PP
When in fact we needed to safeguard it against someone who would detach it from its owners and jeopardize our future.....eg...Morris!!

Big platform? I think you over estimate the global reach of DCFC. Barely anyone outside of English football cares and many inside English football don't care about us or Slync.io either. His company having ties to Golf and F1 are far bigger platforms than us.

RammingStone66 reacted to G STAR RAM in The Administration Thread
Without looking back I can't remember exactly but I thought it was in the region of 8 or 9 million, and we were making 1 million stellar signing per season.
History is good at re-writing itself but there were even protests against the owners.

RammingStone66 reacted to angieram in The Administration Thread
Today, Mel Morris had within his gift one final gesture of goodwill to our club, that would have let us celebrate our survival together in our home with a new owner.
Instead, he chose for whatever reason to deny us this final solace, in what has been our toughest season for many decades.
I've always tried to understand the difficulties he has faced, the money he poured into the club, the intransigence of the EFL, the outside factors at play.
But my patience has worn thin lately, and today it has snapped altogether.
You've lost the club, Mel, you've lost our club. You've lost all respect, you've lost our respect.
No matter what you do from this point forward you will never redeem yourself in my eyes.
