Pathetic again from Nixon. -9 or -90 it makes no difference as we’d still be down so why reluctantly accept -9 instead of -17 the outcome is the same.
 

Might be unpopular but factual. There is no doubt that we lost a significant sum during Covid but we were already on a slippery slop.  Yes Covid  exacerbated administration but unless drastic action was taken by Mel and Pearce that's where we were heading. The signing of players for £10m and £4m  sort of indicates that the they could not make those hard decisions and still wanted the dream of the prem.
We needed to take stock a couple of years ago and put in place a sustainable business plan, I don't think we did and it took an embargo for us to dramatically cut our costs

1- get rid of the Balti Pies they stink
2- Recruit with some monsters through the spine of the team
3- Stability 

I think the business plan is a standard thing to ensure clubs behave appropriately 

You have to feel sorry for Stoke, they assessed that their squad had ALL lost 80% of their value due to Covid. Then just a few weeks later sold Nathan Collins to Burnley for just £12m. Absolutely a £60m player (well he was before Covid).

I think there is even more incentive to really overspend now. if buying a £60m strike force and a £20m midfielder will probably get you to the prem go for it. it will only cost 9 points if it dosnt happen

You are right, this is at Mels and Pearces door not the EFL. We need to wait until the FFP information is out there as nobody knows the figures. The only thing I would like to see from the EFL is consistency of punishment and I have a feeling Reading and others will get away more favourably. The example of this was SWFC and the overdue wages. 
 
people want the club to be made an example of and all I ask is that any punishment is appropriate and consistent
