Bessie1 got a reaction from uttoxram75 in Do you go to other games when you cant watch the Rams?
Occasionally Belper Town or The Ewes. Belper is a Lovely ground. I’m at the back at PP so get a great view, but none of the noise from the players. Watching lower league l hear every crunch of a tackle, every sweary argument, all the passion and commitment close-up. A totally different fan experience.

There's a difference between creating an atmosphere and being a knob. Unfortunately we have a lot of fans who fail to know the difference.

That's true. Even today we (BWFC) have a few idiots but attitudes towards them have changed substantially since Sharon Brittan saved us from oblivion and took over 4 years ago. The woman is dead set on us being a "community club" that attracts families and community groups so over 50 lifetime bans have been handed out to trouble-causing d******** so far. With more and more families coming to our home games and occasional "Community Days" where tickets cost a tenner for adults and much less for kids and other concessions (including away fans) nobody tolerates the idiots any more. Home games are like a village fete for the masses.
That said, the club can't ban idiots from going to away games, but for the most part our away support is big, vocal and peaceful - but there's always one with ego problems, isn't there?

Actually, looking at Lincoln’s form I can see them Being the team that rides a wave of momentum and sneaks into 6th place and takes the play offs by storm. Hopefully not relevant to this thread, cos we won’t need to worry about the play offs.

Bessie1 got a reaction from RadioactiveWaste in The Rugby Union Thread
Whenever I watch a bit of rugby as I did over the weekend, I wonder why on earth I bother with football. I know the standard of rugby in the 6 nations is high and the standard of football I watch is - well - not high. But the rugby seems to be thrilling for almost the whole game - loads of jeopardy, extraordinary athleticism - huge men darting around like gymnasts - it gets me off my seat and shouting at the tele.
So I tell myself I’ll go watch Derby RFC but I never do. I suppose there’s just something special about football. But I’ve got a ton of respect for the top rugby players.

David Clowes needs to sort that out. The ones who complain about more passionate fans taking those empty seats should be offered a free season ticket to move elsewhere. I'm guessing the number is fairly small. maybe a couple of dozen at most, The value to the club having a noisy SE Corner to complement the SS and SW Corner would be worth the one off expense.

Maybe he thought, if they have an in house ref, he’d get to ref all their home games.

Bessie1 reacted to Crewton in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
Oh yeah, the Forest bench hiding the ball, Samba refusing to give the ball back after Lawrence scored and putting Lawrence in a headlock (which the Forest supporting Guardian journalist Dan Taylor had as his photo of the season) then Cafu trying to strangle Sibley - they celebrated gamesmanship then like a last minute goal 😁
Now they're crying about it #karma

Running totals on the crowd for the game Saturday? Only 24,500 for Charlton . But the “Walk Ups” will be back at the weekend, pondering the purchase of a season ticket 24/25 . Let’s have a show that will make their minds up .

Bessie1 got a reaction from Premier ram in Another one bites the dust
FA Cup replay on a Tuesday night in November 2022, they brought lots of noisy, passionate fans. At 4:0 down, they sang “we’re gonna win 5:4”. Goodness knows what time they got home.
As always, it’s the fans who will suffer most from this sad news.

Really? You seen the size of NML? He's a bit of a unit and probably even stronger physically than Collo. For his last goal for instance, he just brushes off two defenders and dusts them. The lad's got wheels to spare. Personally, I'd rather try and mark Collo, especially if I was a 6 foot 3 slow as a barge CB.
That said, I think Collo probably allows more runners off the ball as he's good at taking possession with a defender at his back and that's probably the one area he has a distinct advantage over Nate, though as I said, I'm pretty sure Nate has more weapons in his armoury overall. I certainly wouldn't be losing sleep if Nate were to play in the middle.

If Vickers is still injured then Loach will be the keeper on the bench ahead of Thompson, IMO... 😉

Hi Mozza
I predicted a Rams win (posted 0937 on Friday) - can I have my point please? I need everyone I can get!
thanks

Well here's a first!
Mozza is bulletproof, so a Mozzbloop is like one of those comets that pops around very few millennia. Rare AF.
I'm thinking we should all be given the afternoon off work and free cake.
