Have faith brother. We’re winning this league.
The league where - with 4 games to go - we’re 8 points behind the leaders, who have won 9 and drawn 3 of their last 12 games

Posh v Bolton will be Peterborough’s seventh game in 20 days - they’ll be exhausted and also saving themselves for the playoffs. Before that, Bolton have two home games against lowly opposition. I know anyone can lose to anyone else on their day, but Bolton v Pompey is clearly massive for us.

Full back positions have been a problem for us. Have seen so many goals conceded when teams have played into that gap...oppo
winger gets hold of ball and sends in cross..header at far post. Achilles heel. Only hint I'm going to give you guys!
Oh no! Wingers crossing - that’s not part of our game at all! Please don’t tell your manager!! We play everything through the middle.

Yep. And 4 days later, on the way out of the CoM Stadium, having only lost 1-0 to Citeh, I thought "I REALLY think we'll do alright this season"! 🤣
Do you remember how many games it was before we realised we were wrong? I guess it wasn’t many!

Our first game in “the 11-point season” was a 2-2 draw against Pompey. I remember leaving the ground thinking “that was pretty good, I think we’ll do alright this season”.

Warne just said Gayle’s injury is his hamstring. Barkhuizen and Ward both “sore” at half time so not wanting to take risks.
Seems quite honest and grounded in his assessment, said he thought Bolton are right to think they deserved a point. Praised all the players, said he wanted to get CBT on but had ran out of subs which if those made for “soreness” couldn’t be avoided it makes sense. Acknowledged we rode our luck a little. Still 7 games to go so staying grounded.Young lad starting the bounce referred to as “little Collo” so Collins’ lad I guess.
Said the fans and atmosphere were great, set a standard they shouldn’t drop, amazed by all the flags and wants them there every week.
Also just said “JJ was up here today and he’s maybe going to be fit by the end of the season”, if he’s still contracted to us we can use him right?!
I’m glad he mentioned CBT. He’s looked very quick and with NML knackered near the end he could have had an impact. I was disappointed that Elder came on instead of CBT - then Elder’s first contribution was a lovely corner for the goal; so good job I’m not the manager!

How could I forget about Birmingham. But I’ve always hated QPR since Wembley. It’s be nice to see it all come full circle. They get relegated while we get promoted.
Birmingham had 27 shots today but none went in. What a shame! 😀. Out of the relegation zone only on goal difference. 🤞

Occasionally Belper Town or The Ewes. Belper is a Lovely ground. I’m at the back at PP so get a great view, but none of the noise from the players. Watching lower league l hear every crunch of a tackle, every sweary argument, all the passion and commitment close-up. A totally different fan experience.

I’m giving you a like just cos no one liked my post about Lincoln sneaking into 6th.
Lincoln’s recent form is really quite extraordinary - they’re not just winning - they’re winning with ease. It’s a shame they don’t have games against Barnsley, Bolton or Posh - but their end of season clash with Pompey could be really interesting.

Tonight's interesting fixtures (aside from our own, obviously)
Carlisle vs Barnsley
Lincoln vs Cambridge (my sneaky pick for 6th)
Northampton vs Blackpool
Portsmouth vs Burton (up the Brewers)
Shrewsbury vs Exeter

Peterborough v Stevenage tomorrow

Whenever I watch a bit of rugby as I did over the weekend, I wonder why on earth I bother with football. I know the standard of rugby in the 6 nations is high and the standard of football I watch is - well - not high. But the rugby seems to be thrilling for almost the whole game - loads of jeopardy, extraordinary athleticism - huge men darting around like gymnasts - it gets me off my seat and shouting at the tele.
So I tell myself I’ll go watch Derby RFC but I never do. I suppose there’s just something special about football. But I’ve got a ton of respect for the top rugby players.

Birmingham is going to be a “powerhouse” according to the American owner. He admits the firing of Eustace was a bit hasty. Sounds confident - I’d say smug - in this interview…

Bit mean, I know - but I’m willing him to fail.
