Cheers for all this @RoyMac5. I’m hoping some of the more numbers minded people than myself can give a nice summary of it all. My personal takeaway is how nuts it is that Quantuma got such a chunk of money, and that Clowes/the business plan has us running sensibly, with the player sales to be included in the next lot of figures I wonder does that mean we come out of the restrictions at the end of this season with some cash to spend?

But, you're right, it would be interesting to see how people are making their predictions.

How are people arriving at their projected numbers. Curious as to the massive gulfs between some estimates and others. Aside from simply extrapolating from past performance and numbers to date, what other further factors are being accounted for?
EDIT: Didn't KentRam used to do a similar thing with some intelligent weighting applied? Can't remember his username but it's something like that.

Barnsley 86
However I’ve got Bolton losing to posh on last day, Derby winning their last 3 meaning we’d start final game in 3rd, and Derby beating Bolton. Also have us dropping points at Bristol this Saturday (draw), Pompey (loss) and Wycombe (draw), so 7 wins 2 draws and a loss. 
That Bolton game is massive.

I’ve always been a bookworm. I usually get through 30-40 books a year. I’m currently reading Uncommon Type by Tom Hanks. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m pleasantly surprised. It’s well written and very easy reading.

Barnsley to end up 9 points clear of us?!?! Blimey. Do we not win any more games this season? 

We've only lost 4 of our last 22 in the league, so I'm not sure why we should expect to lose 3 of our next 10.

I’m hoping they draw, with 2 key players from both sides sent off for violent conduct meaning 3 game bans, and a further key player each injured within the dying seconds of the game so the match isn’t abandoned but it leaves both sides severely weakened for the run-in….

I was going to say that Portsmouth have wobbled but won't drop enough points to finish below 1st, but they still have to play Derby, Peterborough, Barnsley, Bolton, Blackpool, and Wigan. Bolton have a terrible run-in too. Barnsley's form should see them go up, and they have some easy ones on paper - Lincoln (h), Carlisle (a), Cheltenham (h) in a row could see them put a run together before they play Pompey. They finish with Charlton, Stevenage, Reading, so could tail off. But then Cheltenham are in v. good form and Peterborough are on the slide...

In conclusion, who the eff knows.

I think we'll finish 2nd and this will be the weirdest, least convincing promotion in history.

The good news tonight, with 10 games still to go, is we're now safe from relegation. With our 69 points, we can't be caught by: Carlisle, Fleetwood, Port Vale (obviously a crucial win today), Shrewsbury or Charlton.
So the worst position we could end up in is 19th, and might even be higher with teams below us having to play each other.
As we begin the business end of the season, the hope is fewer and fewer teams will be able to catch us. For instance, Oxford in 7th can now only get a maximum of 87 points, and the time will come (maybe in 5 games or so) when we're mathematically cemented in the playoffs. Let's hope we reach a point when we cannot finish lower than 2nd. Let's count it down in this thread.
 
 

Sounds like it could be an interesting role actually. Not easy to represent the entire fan base though, given the age and attitude differences across the spectrum of supporters. That said the remit is pretty clear enough, protecting the club from the sort of activities seen across numerous football clubs, such as rebranding, team colours, stadium sales to dubious concerns, sponsorships from companies that do not align with club values etc.
So such items have to be approved by the SB. Good idea I think.
