bimmerman reacted to Steve How Hard? in Derby County Shirt Collection
Got this given as a gift yesterday. Not quite as impressive as your collection @loweman2 but I'm chuffed with it all the same.

Thank you for the kind words again everyone it truly means a lot to me and the mrs! An update on the rollercoaster of emotions is as my messages last week there was fluid under the babies skin which shouldn't have been there so we had to go to grottingham on Thursday for a CVS, the experts had a scan before the test and I quote "we don't really know why you were sent here as at the minute everything seems to be fine, the down syndrome risk came back as 1 in 1668 which is good so they've told us to assume everything is normal and we need to go.back at the beginning of January for another scan to see what's what. To say I was a mess this last week was an understatement (so much so I was odd work sick) but this news was amazing and means at least until next month we can carry on as normal and enjoy christmas. ?

bimmerman got a reaction from Wolfie in Keogh Sacked
gross misconduct could be a number of different things and we will never fully know
in this case,he has made himself unable to complete the terms in line with his contract of employment for a prolonged period of time due to extra curricular activities,so would assume this is why he has been dismissed. he has failed to follow policies and procedures in line with said contract i would assume
if rumour is true and Derby offered a new contract on reduced terms,it was potentially a different role of which he has rejected, leaving the club with no choice but to terminate his employment
under employment law he has 7 days to appeal a decision, but if all the above is correct, its highly unlikely he would win the case
please note that i keep using the word assume, as we will never fully know
note-i've read that the club have given 14 day appeal period which is better then legal standard, and reason is bringing club into disrepute, he'll never win a court case as it can be proven that he has done just that from reading this forum alone!

bimmerman reacted to May Contain Nuts in Keogh Sacked
Say me and my work colleague were in a job that relied on us being able to drive in order to fulfill our duties, I've already got 9 points in my license, he's only got 6.
One day we stupidly decide to race each other home after work in our company registered cars, we're both caught by a speed camera, we both get 3 points.
Only with that 3 points I've now been disqualified from driving for a year, I can't fulfill a basic requirement requirement of my job. I get sacked.
My mate though, he's 'only' up to 9 points on his, he's on his last warning and gets a severe dressing down about his conduct, but if he behaves from now on then he'll keep his job.
Have we been dealt with in a consistent manner? Should my mate have been sacked too? Should I complain that I'm being discriminated against?

bimmerman reacted to Comrade 86 in Car you currently drive?
Looks pretty similar to mine - an old style graphite grey 3.2 DSG Quattro. I should have got rid years back but it's a lovely bit of kit and a lot of fun on the rare occasions it can be given a bit of a blast.
Bought a 2.0 litre A3 Sport which was meant to be a more practical replacement it but ended up keeping the Quattro instead! Environmental concerns mean that it'll be the last car of it's kind I buy unfortunately. Looking at whatever Tesla is around at time of next purchase as a likely next car as they don't seem so stupidly expensive these days and the reviews seem quite positive.
Edit - I'll pop a pic up tomoz if I remember. Quite a pretty car.

@Paul71 the best thing I ever did when I came off my meds was kick the alcohol habit
I was very similar to where your at at the moment. My daughters teacher made a flippant comment to me about using a phone, my head blew it out of proportion and tried to drink myself to death. After quiting the booze, I found it went hand in hand with the aniexty/depressive states.
Been off both for 6 months, never felt better. Wasn't a massive drinker but it made a huge difference for me
Hope this helps.

Both very much vw golf's in a frock and a few extra toys
Nice though. I've done 40k so far in mine since November and it's giving me 60 odd to the gallon, and dead comfy.

Unpopular opinion: I would like nothing more than see Frank get his first piece of silverware at the expense of Liverpool!
G'warn Frank, Jody, Mason & Fik!!

Yeah I get that - I'm no fan of Chelsea either but for me, my respect for Lampard & Morris overrides that so hope Chelsea do well whilst they're at the club. Appreciate not everyone will have that view though ?
There's also a broader context insofar as a) a young English manager finally being given a chance at a top 4 club (first time since 1995 apparently - Ray Harford was the last one!) and b) likelihood that Lampard will have to field a number of talented young players in light of their transfer ban. If all goes well, it could be good for English football as a whole

Getting one of these as a company car in October to replace the a3. Is it thirsty?

Currently got a BMW M140i...it's very nice and very fast but I think I'm rapidly reaching the age where something with more pliant suspension might be better for my knackered old back.
