I reckon he did the deal and then went rubbing shoulders with rich folk in Dubai and golf tournaments trying to convince someone to back his bid, thinking Wayne Rooney would be a big enough name to convince someone to cough up.

Unfortunately your order from the cheaper and less reputable website has got lost in the post and it's the last copy they had in stock, so now you've got to file an official complaint with Royal Mail. Anyone who's had to do that will probably tell you, it can be a bit of a  nightmare.
After the rigmarole of filing the complaint they get back to you: their system says the parcel was delivered so that's that, they have no means to reimburse you for your purchase, the company you bought the game from can't replace the item and can't give you a refund either.
That's £67 you'll never see again! Should probably have paid £3 extra for tracked delivery to ensure that you got what you wanted.
