Didn't put a foot wrong all game. Calm on the ball, great positioning, great leadership, won every tackle, won every header, even when they outpaced him he just put his body in the way?.  Age is just a number!

Just got home from match. Great feeling, win on the road. Missed these night away games a lot.
We watched from a private box, mid-goal - great view! 
Even missed sitting in the roadworks on the way home.
Football is back! 
 
 

We will dedicate this win to our man, David. He has worked hard and deserves credit for showing dignity in difficult circumstances. Forgot all the off the field stuff. We have a manager and team to support. We are going up. Up the table.

Just got on train from Hull back to Leeds.. absolutely beaming!
Played really well all night & if thats the shape of things to come, maybe there's brighter days ahead. Played some brilliant stuff with Morrison, Jozwiak & Sibley so dangerous roaming about, giving & going, finding space & swapping wings.
Jagielka & Baldock were definitely the missing ingredients of this team...no offence to Stearman who was very solid first 2 games but Jagielka oozes class & so dependable at the back. Massive asset to this squad. And a lot of negativity about Baldock pre-signing but his style is exactly what this line up & way of playing needs. Delighted he got his goal.
MOM though...Max Bird. Absolutely top drawer. How certain folk can't see his quality is beyond me. Magnificent going in both directions tonight.
Well done Derby, well done Rooney...must be a relief to get that winless monkey off their backs finally. Onwards & upwards ?

When Bird plays on the front foot going forward he's a completely different player. Great range of passing, sees runs and delivers great through balls.
One more point to make, just shows how much you need the old heads in this league, Davies and Jags were sound and a special mention for Morrison, he's hardly played for a couple of years yet he looked the most composed and intelligent player on the pitch.
 

I don’t get it. Their keeper spilled the ball and we had a player stood near him ready to kick it in the net. Are you even allowed to do that? Why haven’t we tried this amazing new tactic before? ?

Same again against Boro.

Yep he was v classy. Or Morrison. Or Curtis. Thing is, it was an excellent team effort. 

£34 on the train. £18 for the game. An hour bunked off work. Two pints of Carling. A hug from B4. A sweaty dash back to make the last train. Won’t be in bed until half 1 in the morning.
Worth it? 
Obviously.

So much better when we look to win games. Morrison and Bird both majestic. Jags and Curtis rock solid. 3 or 4 nil would not have flattered us. Best performance in bloomin yonks. Well done to all of the lads and the coaches. Who's next?

What a difference the right experience makes to a team. Curtis and Phil were outstanding. Well done Derby, deserved the win, plenty of positives all over the pitch. Rav was great. Big shout out to the boo boys from the weekend. Joz, Byrne and Shinnie played very well. Good football throughout when we could. Hopefully on the up from now on.

Some lovely little patterns of sharp passing in the last third of the pitch, Morrison, Sibley, Bird, all capable of neat, precise play that creates chances and pulls defenders out of position. 
Stonewall penalty for the half nelson on Jags, Joz, Moz & Boz (Baldock) all should have scored from great chances created in open play.
Good tactics, good away win, great support all through the match.
