jono got a reaction from Miggins in Notice to appoint administrators
Well .. that’s it then. League one next season and with a points deduction on top of that.
All things pass .. we are going to have 3 or 4 difficult years by the sounds of things.
So what ! As long as the club survives as an entity and 11 blokes pull on a shirt. Then we get behind them and hope for a win.
I only hope un secured creditors, the small people, don’t get shafted by systems and politics

Yes, those are the terms of the charges. It may be possible that the club still won't enter administration. Serving the notice will have given MSD the chance to takeover the club. I believe it will be their choice if they allow the administration to proceed. They might want it to slash the debts. They might want to avoid it if they think we might survive in this division.

If I had already lost £200 million, I would not be prepared to continue to lose £1.5 million a month with no chance of stopping that process. It had to crash at some point. Today is that day. What must we do now to avoid liquidation. Do all our players become free agents very soon. Fire sale about to start maybe. How long will Wayne stay now. I wonder how much warning he got.

Season ticket revenue will simply reduce the liabilities of the club (a limited company) not go into Mel’s pocket.

Not meaning to defend Mel but he’s not received the season ticket money himself personally. The proceeds will have gone to the club.

And there we were worrying about a measly 9 pt deduction ?

The EFL simply want to look tough after
letting QPR off in massive way - their fine has no impact as it doesn’t come out of the clubs money
letting Bournmouth off with a minuscule fine by way of taking an offer from Bournemouth whilst in the premiership - no impact
letting Aston Villa sail off into the sunrise never to be seen again
letting Birmingham have points deduction that keeps them up rather than the following season
trying to keep Sheffield Wednesday up despite their utter incompetence at the owls
We are guilty of trying to compete with parachute teams spending power whilst half the division is happy not trying to compete eg Bristol city PNE etc
we are guilty of giving a young English manager a chance as manager in Clement ( mistake) giving a questionable manager in Pearson a chance -
we are Guilty of trying to play entertaining football mainly and trying to entertain the paying public - and there are a lot of clubs out there that simply do not try to do any of that on a football pitch.
there’s more obviously but none of it will stop me supporting my team all be it in whatever division despite the overall standard of the championship being fairly dreadful and league one ( third division ) I am sure is just as bad although there are a lot of bigger teams there it seems.
Anyway we have an interlude tomorrow at 3-00 pm up and at em

jono reacted to MackworthRamIsGod in Protest against the right people
I'm no fan of Mel anymore, he deserves a lot of the stick he receives, same with Pearce, but, protests shouldn't be aimed at them, they should be aimed squarely at the EFL.
It surprises me that some fans haven't clicked onto who the real enemy are. Protesting against Mel Morris will have Rick Parry licking his lips, and Steve Gibsons no doubt. Any protest against Mel, regardless of our feelings, is another dent against the club.
Protests need to be pre-arranged, before and after the game, banners with words to the effect that the EFL are destroying football. The media need to know so the protests get air time and we need a spokesperson who can appear in the media and give facts as to why we feel we are being harshly treated. Such as; if the EFL hadn't signed off all our accounts we wouldn't have paid 10 million for Bielik, or 4 million for Jozwiak, or x amount for Wayne Rooney.
In all of this, we don't have anyone visibly representing Derby and trying to set our story straight.
I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of the EFL and Rick Parry, I would rather see us play non-league football and fight them to the hilt than bend over and accept guilt!
If Mel Morris reads this (he won't), you have made lots of mistakes, but you have my full backing on this, fight the barstewards right to the very end, don't accept any points deduction, at least until the EFL accept liability also.
Protest against the EFL not Mel!

The thing that irritates me is that this (The EFL) is an association that is supposed to represent all members equally. Now for sure there will be some gunning, for us but partisan reasons shouldn’t be part of this. It should be an antiseptic procedure .. did they do it ? What is the evidence ? Are there mitigating circumstances ?
surely that sort of conversation shouldn’t be very difficult ? Unless there are other agendas from specific parties, which if there are, must be dismissed. I’d venture to suggest, this hasn’t happened and there are selfish motives amongst the decision makers that quite simply should be detected and not allowed air time. It is a known fact that Gibson has a gripe against us .. ok that’s fair enough, but surely that means he and his club has a conflict of interest and shouldn’t be part of any decision making process ?
None of us knows the story or the truth of the matter, but the oversight of those that are the judge and jury seems seriously lacking at the moment.

Honestly not that surprised the EFL haven't suggested it as a way of resolving this.
"Mr Morris, you can choose trial by water or trial by fire"
EFL statement "we are in discussion with DCFC regarding a resolution, and are currently awaiting a response from the club"

It's not been officially sanctioned in Yorkshire for quite a long time, but you know what yorkshire folk are like if they get something into their heads, and fear of witches is still common place, frequently being blamed upon the discovery of gential warts, paracitic infestations or it hurting to urinate.

Ha ! So you remember that sketch too ?
Being in possession of an offensive wife
Loitering with intent to use a zebra crossing
Wearing a loud shirt after 11.00 PM
Looking at me in a funny way
