I worry Warne has lost the dressing room and it's unsalvageable
Senior players should be going straight to Clowes and demanding Warne goes

Comedy moment.. somebody in the crowd shouted "get him off" after another misplaced pass..... my question would be... which player? there are plenty to choose from 😄

Our master tactician will spot this (or not) and respond accordingly with a tactical switch (or not)

Am I right in thinking we've got no strikers on the bench? Awful.

As per usual, we look so empty and lost in the middle of the park. No life, no fight, no physicality, we're a midfield of turn the ball over players. No real defensive ones, no certified ACM's, just all the same variety of player.
We are however, growing into the game, but I really think we need a striker and a proper CDM before the window shuts

Now, now! You can't expect too much from a club with one of the biggest wage budgets, the biggest ground, the best facilities and a manager with a track record of promotion.
It's your own fault for expecting too much!

Two teams doing their best to make sure they're still in league one next season.

I don’t think Warne likes leaders or strong characters who might show him up for what he actually is.
He wants players who tow his line and don’t challenge him

I know he didnt sign them all but when PW talks about needing to sign players with the right character - what does he mean exactly? As it doesnt seem to be strength and a winning mentality.

I am just so fed up. There are just so many depressing questions about tonight, I dont know where to start really but as a starter what is going on with Wildsmith?

I know they're planning in other ways and not solely the academy. I was just using it as an example. Nothing about Warnes signals long term planning at all. He hasn't improved any player (and therefore increased their sale value should we sell). He's churned through the squad and ground them down to playing a regressive, simplistic and short-termist method of playing football. I presume part of this 'future planning' involves attracting talented players here with high sell on potential. What about Warne would attract any player like that to us? How does that help with the long term planning and continuity of the club? Its not that I disagree with Warne in the context of future planning, I think he's actively a hinderance to it. If his short-termism does work and we go up,  I think it will just be one step forward, two back overall. You mention Warne as a representation of robustness and sustainability. He hasn't been either of those things. His transfers aren't sustainable and he's abandoned formations and systems multiple times over the last seasons.
I disagree that just because something can't be changed, that means you can't express dislike for it. Of course we all want Derby to win every game no matter what.

Happy clappers may not be the right term because it’s naturally divisive but there was, rightly or wrongly, a significant number of posts on our good run sneering at any one who dared to question the manager or want him gone during the highs of defeats to Shrewsbury and Stevenage, as if good results masking at times sub par performances does anything to convince people who have long term doubts about the manager.
Performances being less than convincing even during good runs is a large part of why he has been questioned, certainly by me anyway.
In most games we get by because we have better players than the other team. I don’t see a huge amount of the effects of good coaching, I don’t see many tactical tweaks that gain us an edge. We look like a team who have a bigger budget than the majority of teams at this level, and not much else. I think our manager’s level is about where we are now, which worries me.
But alas he is here to stay.

You could put Kevin de Bruyne in our midfield, it wouldn't make a difference because Warne actively bypasses the midfield.
It's a tactical choice that is currently, and will continue to, cost us points.

The team are not coached to have any control. Another midfielder will not help if Warne continues to employ the tactics he wants us to play football.
I say football. It’s pinball. Players must be being encouraged to move it as forward as quickly as possible, taking no more than 3 touches. Chaotic, gas out type football.
I thought we might go up with our squad automatically, even with him in charge. I am beginning to think not.
