Loslobos reacted to May Contain Nuts in Ipswich v Derby (A) Matchday Thread - ‘and it’s live’
It is in a way, but I don't think we're going there with nothing but hope.
I do genuinely think the way we're playing now stands us in better stead to with on Friday than if it had been a match in the first 10 games. It's the home games that are now more of a concern!
(You'd think teams got 4 points for winning away and only 3 at home such is the extra importance placed on away matches by some fans. Got to please the 'hardcore', 'loyal' fans though, not those schmucks who only go to home matches.)
It probably depends on whether we can find a solution to the defence being horribly exposed though (I thought we were fine in the second half vs Accrington so there's something to work with), either that or them missing a load of chances!

Why would we waste a loan for him to play in our U23s?
Its pretty obvious that any loan signing we make will be either to play or to cover first team positions.

The collective trains of thought that run through these threads could keep cognitive scientists in work for years.
From some speculation that the ‘issue’ is ‘something’ to do with Moor Farm - nobody knows what - the thread has gone on to conclude that Moor Farm is going to be a housing estate (why - seemingly because Erewash councillors are all Forest fans!?!?), we’ve then moved on to Clowes wanting to develop Moor Farm (why - because he’s a developer, so stands to reason right), then - as a result of these nailed on certainties - we’ve moved on to identifying alternative locations for a training ground, moving existing businesses, without any consideration for the costs of such things, the time it would take to achieve, whether the businesses want to move, where they’d move to etc and then onto all our yesterdays and how it was all wonderful before anybody built industrial and retail units on an industrial estate and retail park and they should have left it as fields (not that it was) or railway sidings (which would have been unused) or should have turned it into parkland (where does all the industry go… fields?). And then we have some moaning about traffic in Pride Park… all from ‘the remaining issue is something to do with Moor Farm’.
Fascinating really. Proving the rule that nature abhors a vacuum.

I don't think that it's going to happen today, as it's a bank holiday in DR Congo for their independence Day.?

Not commented on the forum in a long time, but have been reading it almost religiously. I wanted to just make sure I was in this historic thread before it was locked and concealed to the history books.
Today is the day, I can feel it in my bones.

Are you looking forward to having all you hopes, joys, ambitions and lie ins destroyed by a merciless, unending grind?
But seriously, good luck, I hope you find a good employer and make the most you oportunities. Like a lot of folks, I'd happily give someone else's arm and a leg to be 20 years younger again.

MK Dons weren't in major financial problems they merely moved the club to a new location as they thought they could get a bigger fan base.
AFC Wimbledon were a brand new club created in response to them moving

And yet their reign ended with Mac, the best side we’ve had in two decades and the finances as balanced as they’ve been for as long as I can remember.
It was a slow-build job but they went out on a high.

EFL have now requested that the final payment is made in 5p pieces...all from 2014..

Unless they were flagged as a certain type of account.
Yeah you're right, there would be a lower end threshold that the system would ignore even if it hit a flag. They also have scoring systems so one flag of a certain type might not be enough to trigger a case, but 2 or 3 may.
There are countless rules that can be put in place.
-
Loslobos reacted to Tamworthram in The Administration Thread
actually, whilst there must be some ridiculously low threshold (I don’t think a one off transfer of funds of a couple of hundred pounds is likely to trigger serious AML checks), I believe you are correct.
-
Loslobos got a reaction from Tamworthram in The Administration Thread
The flags would be based on how unusual the payment was compared to normal transactions. If a transaction was more than a certain amount outside standard deviation compared with transactions in the past 6 months/ year etc.

Loslobos reacted to Woodley Ram in The Administration Thread
It’s financial thresholds that trigger not the fact it’s £20m, it’s relative, I’m sure if CK put £500k through his account it could be normal, alarm bells would ring if I did it. The mantra is where is the money coming from and where is it going to.

Loslobos reacted to Woodley Ram in The Administration Thread
he is not transferring Crypto. I have just listened to the Alan Nixon on talksport and that was interesting. The issue with CK is that he is transferring an amount larger than anything he has done before (red flag) and from the US to a country he probably has never transferred to before (red flag).
I would imagined a compliance officer of a US bank has made a SAR (suspicious activity report) to the FinCen (the US money laundering reporting establishment). In the UK we would send our SAR to the NCA (National Crime Agency).
The issue with this is that your bank transfer is blocked for a period (short) of time to allow an investigation. It will then be released. If you ever have a payment that is held up by a bank for about 5 days then that is what has probably happened.
Also it is a criminal offence to tell your client (CK) if you have made a SAR, so he will be well frustrated.
If it hasn't gone to the FinCen then the release should be quicker as the bank will be asking for potential proof of where his funds have come from and where they are going.
The US banks are amongst the most stringent in the world due to the large fines given out by US regulators.
I think we just need to be patient as I'm not sure how much CK can tell us.
