Just clicked on the Daily Mail and immediately an article about how good Kaide Gordon is likely to be.
Here is a radical thought how about clubs like Liverpool and Man City properly compensate us for Gordon and Delap.
We worked with these players in their formative years and we get pennies for them. If in 10 years time Gordon goes for £100 million then Liverpool essentially have made a £99 million profit as they stole him from us for £1 million.
What is the point in an academy if all the top players get poached for nothing.

There are several reports saying that any new owner has to pay out £50 million to clear Mel’s debts. Some seem to think this is a stumbling block.
However, if any new owner pays nothing to get our club other than a token pound then £50 million isn’t unreasonable.
It was reported that Mel wanted £60 million for the club so in theory a new owner paying out £50 million to clear that debts they are £10 million up.

Are people really going to keep defending Mel?
He couldn’t even be bothered to tell Rooney before the news was announced.
The man is spineless but don’t worry as he is a fan an really cares (not).
He will walk away from this debt free. Yes, he has lost money but he will make it back somehow I am sure of it.
Oh and don’t forget his company owns the stadium so who will be receiving rent for us to play there in future? Or will he sell it back to us at a tidy profit for himself?

Wayne could relinquish some or most of his wage to help the club but I bet he won’t. He is with us because we have him the job. He won’t get that luxury anywhere else. Other clubs Championship and above will tell him to prove himself first, and Wayne won’t want to work in the lower leagues.
If reports are to be believed he is on £90,000 a week but he apparently deferred some of that earlier in the year due to the non payment of wages issue. If Wayne dropped to £10,000 a week the saving could pay the majority of the squad.

Mel Morris is not a Derby County fan. He is an ego centric money hungry business man. I still believe he saw the huge gains if we got promoted to the Premier League and he gambled.
You then look at the whole TV deal thing, which was all about more money. Why if the deal was so bad didn’t he have unilateral backing from all of the other chairman. He did it to get himself more money.
He has essentially gambled with the club’s future and lost.
Why doesn’t he do the decent thing and hold a proper meeting with the fans where everything can be disclosed.

What I mean by he got the job by default is he was already on our books as being paid. Regardless of what people think 32red will not be paying all his wages.
If we had brought in a new manager that means additional costs, for example another wage to pay, that we could not afford.
We just changed his role but the cost remained the same.
Yes, Chris Hughton has failed at Forest but his record elsewhere is good. Promotions with Newcastle and Brighton plus guiding Birmingham to the play offs and keeping Norwich in the Premier League (many others have failed to do this).
I would still take Hughton over Rooney but that is my opinion.

We should play 3 - 5 - 2 wiry Byrne and Buchanan as the wing backs. We then have Forsyth and Ebolese as back ups. Play Cashin with Davies and Jagielka or even Bird in a back three. Then a midfield three of Knight, Morrison and Shinne (until Bielik is back) with Baldock and Stretton up front (until Kazim is back).
This keeps us defensively secure with more attacking threat as we have two up top. Morrison and Knight would be free to push on with Shinnie covering.

I the only person I blame is Mel Morris.
No intelligent chairman would employ Philip Cocu who has no experience of this league or the football in this country.
No intelligent would they replace him with a novice when we were in dire need of a solid experience championship manager.
If Mel runs the club properly and is at all interested he makes better decisions.

So we are going with conspiracy theories that because one of the members supports Forest means this is all fabricated or forced upon us.
You could also argue that because Pearce was on the board our indiscretions went unchecked.
Does anyone fully know the Reading situation? According to the charge sheet we have broken so many rules. Have Reading breached as many as us? Probably not.

I have said it before Mel was only in this for himself. If he really is a fan then he would not have let this happen.
He saw an opportunity to make big money by Derby getting promoted to the Premier League. He would then pocket a lot of TV money or sell us for a large profit.
This did not happen, he is now refusing to run the club properly and I can really see us going into administration under his stewardship.
I once compared him to Mike Ashley and got castigated on here. I was wrong. Mike Ashley is better. At least Ashley did the right thing when Newcastle got relegated. He did what he needed to get them back to the Premier League.
Mel is more like Randy Lerner. An owner who completed checked out. Lerner gave zero investment and got Villa relegated.
The witch hunt against the EFL is mid boggling. Did the EFL or fans force Mel to buy horse poo players with big wages? No. Do they run the club? No
Accept it, we have broken the rules and now they are enforcing these rules. If this were Forest or Leeds we would be baying for blood. Mel’s egotistical battle with them has not helped but the EFL are not fabricating the charges against us.
The club is badly run, owes a lot of debts and this will continue whilst Mel is in charge.

I also think that if this situation isn’t sorted soon allowing Rooney to sign players I could see him quitting.
I actually think Rooney probably has loan players lined up to bolster us. These are most likely season long loans, like Mengi, which we can’t complete due to the embargo.
The question is if the embargo does not get lifted, meaning Rooney goes with what he has, and we get beat in the first five games. Then will the fans blame Rooney or Morris?

Warwick Ram got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Please don’t blame Morris and Pearce.
We are on the verge of being an embarrassment again. Just over two weeks until our first game with no senior centre halves, one striker who is in his mid 30s and still under this embargo.
Morris and Pearce should be working night and day to get this sorted ASAP. They may well be but we don’t know either way.
What will the fans say when we are getting hammered every week because we are no where near competitive? Will they still support Morris and say he tried his best? If Morris was not a local man he would be being castigated now. It is is ‘fan’ label that is saving him in my opinion.
I was a huge supporter of Morris but from what I read and see (as this is all I can base my opinion on) unless things dramatically change he will ruin this club for at least a decade by his actions.
