For no reason whatsoever, I think we’ll win our next two games

One problem is we’ve put energy in Roverham’s legs for tomorrow

Mick was obviously years ahead of his time. Long before any Covid lockdowns it looks like Mick was already cutting his own hair.

Well we might start going out to win games if we are under some pressure.

Absolutely.
How many teams would be able to get away with 1 win in 10? We’ve had six weeks of let offs.
If the team in 22nd winning two games in three days doesn’t spark a reaction from us, I am not sure what will.
Of course we are suffering with injuries and confidence, but also there has been an air of complacency which we need to shake.

Not the same at all, we have a good chance of staying up but the repeated not a chance in hell can we go down is total nonsense...

Absolutely!
It's totally in our own hands.
2 teams as out of form as we are in Blackburn & Preston, Birmingham (h), Sheff Weds (h) and a trip to Swansea who's play off place will already be sealed by the time we go there.
If we can't get 6 or 7 points out of that and we go down then it'll be because we deserved to.

I gave him a lift back to Leeds (where he used to live) from Derby after a match just after he started reporting on Derby. Wasn’t arrogant at all. He’s a nice bloke, enthusiastic and has immersed himself in the club. Doesn’t take himself too seriously and strikes a good balance between analysis of tactics, players and the different personalities he comes across at our football club

I think being sceptical about a guy whose only known involvement with an English club ended with him leaving, being accused of broken promises and called an untrustworthy individual is sensible. Morris and co also saw BZI and greenlit that until it went down the pan so excuse me if i don't place much confidence in their judgement. I'm not being a conspiracy theorist (for instance I'm not claiming he's going to rip off the club or asset strip) but I'm questioning some unknown man with an unknown consortium coming in and taking over the club.
What do we actually know factually about this man is what I'm getting at? Apart from his own claims, he's been a non-listed director at a club in Indonesia (didn't appear on the website) has worked as boxing promoter and allegedly has connections with a far right Spanish political party. His 'sports agency' doesn't have a website and claims to represent a few out of contract or small time players. No-one seems to know if he actually has any money (most reports lean towards he doesn't and is a 'fixer').
Btw, Spanish clubs seem to be financially amongst the most mismanaged in European football so if that's his background I'm hardly excited.

Happy Birthday. Although you probably don't do happy, so have an acceptable day.?

I am not sure about this Alonso chap.
Rooney is still in situ, and the club haven’t even started selling DCFC branded bottles of tinto de verano.
I’ve not even got one of those computer generated e-mails wishing me a happy birthday either.
I have to say, the signs don’t look good! League 1 and financial collapse beckons.

So much this.
As the christians would put it, hate the sin, not the sinner. Throwing people under the bus for an off colour viewpoint or unguarded remark doesn't make the world a better place - but it seems to be the internet way - it more often than not will just create more difference, us and them camps, not seeing each others views. A bit more understanding, a bit of gentle expaining why we hold the views we do, a bit of acceptance that other people won't feel the same as you would just be helpful all round. I may be a hopless nieve idealist, but I believe there's far more in common between most people than divides them.

Maybe in general terms but I have no acceptance, tolerance or understanding for those with homophobic or racist views....

A fair point, for sure. The polarization is on both sides.
I also could have been more nuanced on the same-sex marriage point. My take is that this is the greatest social change that has happened in my lifetime and it shouldn't be any business of the state whether people can or can't love someone of the same sex. But how quickly we forget that Cameron's government only introduced this in the UK in 2013, just 8 short years ago. Then, all of a sudden, we think we're so enlightened and are outraged that the rest of the world hasn't followed suit, so when Merkel voted against it in 2017 it can seem an outrageous thing for her to have done (especially for those who see her as the champion of European liberal values). And nowadays the British media and commentariat is all holier than though if homophobic abuse is heard at football grounds in other countries. Of course I know nothing of Alonso's views on the topic, but the way towards a more tolerant, better world isn't to immediately castigate everyone who isn't moving on the curve at exactly the same pace as us, but to show understanding and love while letting our own actions and tolerant society speak for itself.
