They were deducted 25 points after going into administration, leaving them 20 points adrift at the bottom of the table.
They finished 6th, 24 points ahead of 9th and 10th.
Their joint second top goalscorer with 8 goals?
    This man.

(Haven't yet continued my catch-up from the above post onwards, but wanted to divert myself for a moment... so apologies if this is out of order)...

As a very good friend of yours, @Curtains... albeit by sheer coincidence, also a complete stranger... May I suggest you take a breather.  In good old Rams related fashion, maybe 48 hours?
It is what it is... heart-breaking, as you say... and there's virtually nothing any of us can do about it, other than the odd march, and the odd full house on a matchday, and who knows, maybe even the odd doorstep protest in Preston, in the weeks ahead?
But what we can all do, is take a step back when we need to.  We can (and must!) retain our health... mental & physical... and our sanity (The latter being subject to T&C's, obvs!).
Yes, we are powerless.  Yes, it's extremely frustrating.  And yes, it can be traumatic at times.
But we must not lose sight of the fact that we must also remain strong.  We must look after ourselves... and our loved ones... over and above anything else.  And that includes our long-time favourite football club.

Take a break, buddy.  And take care of yourself.  ?

The biggest part of me read that and felt sorry for Mel.

The EFL was intent on ruining him and they’ve achieved it.

I just hope that at some point we can all get over this and welcome Mel back to Derbyshire.

Its give Parry a way out. If he blocks this the MP's and the publicity will finish him. Gibson will be furiously messaging and ringing him but I reckon Parry will be uncontactable this evening.
Gibsons head may explode and Teeside will be covered in curly pubes.

A couple of years ago I decided I’d had enough of football. The game is largely ruined. You look at something like American Football, which is commercialised up to the eyeballs, but compared to football, the administration of it, the competitiveness of it, it’s light years ahead of football. Light years. I don’t see any way for football to regain what it’s lost and if anything it will only get worse. Without drastic action at a structural level nothing will change.
I love Derby, but if Derby disappear then football to me is dead, and I won’t miss it at all.

I just felt I needed to say I hope everyone is doing OK through all this. It is perfectly normal to feel stress, anger and anxiety in these circumstances especially when we feel powerless to save our club.
As Derby fans, we are one community and we're all in this together. Stay strong folks, chin up old bean.

I think he was a great player for us. Could never doubt his effort or commitment. IMO he loved this club. Obviously it all ended badly.

Said Shinnie was in tears when told he was being sold a couple weeks ago.

Still devastated that he's gone. Shinnie was a proper player.

Stood outside the Council house, and rolled the i-cam as the procession headed off... 10mins 41secs... my arm was ready to fall off (holding 'phone up at arms length)... 10mins 41secs... and still they came... still flooding around the corner, from the direction of the Guild Hall clock... I gave up filming at that point.  I simply needed to join in, and savour the moment.
Wouldn't like to put a number on it, but it was an absolutely fantastic turn out.  I dare say better than anyone involved would have expected, or even dreamed.  Tears in the eyes job.  Those scenes up and over our own Wembley Way were simply astonishing, even for a near 60 year old who has been going to games for over 46 years.  Truly awe-inspiring, as we rounded the bend, and that long wide line came into view.  Emotional?  You bet!  Never been prouder as a Ram, as I was at that moment.
How the duck can the authorities allow this club to die.  Surely they can't!

Now, I'm gonna trawl back along this thread, and relive the moment.  Don't be surprised if those tears well up again!
So, so proud of this club, and us fans.
    Great day!

Not had the best of times the past couple of weeks and it's meant I've not had the heart to come on the forum for a proper read, or even listen to the Forest match. But today I decided to crank up the Ramsplayer app and forget the other stuff.
I cant say the first half helped, (apart from hearing the crowd chanting a few choice words for the EFL ? ), and yes I know, we only drew. But my Lord, the last quarter of the match had me buzzing. I just felt we were listening to team that wanted to fight and the last 10 minutes were a real lift.
Duck the EFL and all the other negative poo in the world - my team don't give in!

Damn you Derby County. I'm a middle aged man. It's unbecoming that you keep making me jump around like a lunatic and blub my eyes out.
It must be so boring supporting a normal club.
