First 20 minutes excellent. Rest of the half decent.
    Second half nervy.
Thought the back 5 were solid.
    Thomson added zip and verve
    NML in his proper position
    Waggy strong and great finish

I agree r,e his inability to crash through a striker. Looking at his physique I was expecting no nonsense. Looks very to me that due to previous injury he is very tentative. I've been like this on returning from a long lay off. It takes time until you feel at ease with your body.
I would stick him In u21s to get game time.
On the face if it, it looks an absolute clanger by the recruitment team.

Let's be fair Fleetwood either raised their game a few notches or they actually are a half decent unit.

I think we have to take the positives from today. Not the performance or the scoreline, but the ability to grind out a result when expectation is weighing heavily on you and a response is needed.
Last season, in the corresponding fixtures v Burton and Fleetwood, we picked up one point and this season we have picked up six. If we can continue the trend of getting improved results v teams we have struggled against, that bodes well.
I think also looking at how Wigan have gone to Bolton and absolutely demolished them and Oxford have backed up Tuesday night with another good away win v Barnsley, maybe we were too harsh on Warne and the team over recent results.
We have to remember we are just at the time of year where teams are still bedding in and can get caught cold, and perhaps we’ve been caught at a particularly good time (for others).
Everyone will be focusing on the games v Peterborough, Portsmouth and Bolton as a real yardstick for our season, but for me, the biggest, most pressurised games will be Northampton and Cambridge at home and Carlisle away.
Good seasons are built on being able to win the games you are expected to and hopefully we’ll do that and use that as a platform for a positive season, rather than getting too hung up on losses to teams of a similar standard.

I thought the South Stand did very well today, kept the chants going in the second half when we were under some pressure.
It isn't easy when there are very few away fans to bounce off.
Although not in the preferred position,  it was also good to have the drum back. It actually helps with the volume (and joining in) from the other stands when it's down at the front, imo.

Hang on. We did have two poor games where we looked inferior but let’s just remember we probably have the smallest squad in the league have played 3 games in a week and had 3 of our youngest legs crocked in one game.

First half excellent. Second half nervous. Gave the ball away too much but in general moved but the ball faster and looked more threatening all over the pitch. If NML could make better decisions we’d have walked that. At 1-0 they had something to fight for. Dodgy decisions and bookings went against us, could have had a pen.
NML and Rooney worked brilliantly together with Hourihan and Smith adding the 3rd corner to a great triangle on the right
Rooney absolute standout for me. Has to be in the team. He’s a real footballer. Grown up composure that many in the team could learn from.
Tommo did well but needs to pass the ball sooner. Waggy looks real class at this level. More to come from Washington as he gets fitter. Fozzy ? Maestro. Wildsmith - game saver. Nelson, there’s always an error in him but he bossed their No9. Hourihan worked his bits off. Cash was Cash but still needs his top form back. Hope he stays but best of luck if he doesn’t.

That's a big shift from this morning, ask your source what has changed.
One minute there is friction between manager and recruitment team/Pearce leaving you concerned for the rest of the season, only hours later to he told its all systems go.
Either you are making all this up, or Derby County is being ran by Coco the Clown 🤡 😂

Ram a lamb a ding dong reacted to Gringo in My thoughts if I was David Clowes
The decision on Warne's future is a little way off being made yet, but putting myself in David Clowes position my thought process would be as follows.
The results have been poor and the performances worse, and the fans are going apoplectic, however being logical about this I need to not knee jerk into making a rash decision.
I may have underestimated the challenge facing Warne, but his previous track record in getting out of this division was excellent and I should trust my initial judgement, but if things don't improve the crowds will drop and that will be a financial and personal disaster.
The manager needs to understand how serious his and the clubs position is and he needs to be given a set of targets he has to hit to avoid the termination of his role these should be,
An immediate improvement in performances, team structure and tactics. 4 wins in next 10 games minimum  No more stupid press interviews Crowds must not drop below 20,000, this should not be a problem if 1. is rectified Any fall into the relegation zone will be instant termination I have always found that people work best if they understand what is required of them and they know the owners expectations, I would suggest there have been conversations already and the bar man at last chance saloon is pouring a last drink.
I write this with having a reputation of being intolerant of poor performing subordinates and of course I might be wrong on this occasion.

My personal opinion is not to criticise clowes.
Hes the reason we have a club. Hes running it sustainably so we dont have this threat again.
Sure the decisions hes made may not pay off but thats normal in life and business.

He was good against Stoke because we were underdogs parked in our own box.
Warnes managerial career has primarily been built on an underdog mentality. Did he ever play teams at Rotherham who sit back and required his team to be on the front foot? His system doesn't transfer to Derby

    Fwiw.
The only reason we finished top half was because of DM's goals. Without him we would have finished nowhere.
The players brought in have made us weaker and 3 statuesque central defenders offers nothing.
    No pace
    No passing
    No clue

I mean, I’m lost for words at this stage. 8Leeds has certainly got some of the details right, but I can’t understand how we consistently put in such embarrassing performances and results. Even playing our worst 11 and getting tactics wrong, we should still be able to beat Oxford. I’ve never even heard of any of their players.
I don’t care about contracts, and I don’t care about those of you who continue to defend him, Warne has to go for the sake of the club and for my sanity.
(The usual suspects can save the ‘you can sod off then’ posts, I won’t dignify them with a response.)
