Why are people quoting Gayles scoring record and using it as a reason not to sign him?
He is better than anything we have got (not that we have anything now) and potentially better than anything in league 1.
Chris Martin, CKR, David McGoldrick. None particularly prolific before coming, none too shabby in the end hey!
 

I’m convinced that this is Collins behind Tom Barkhuizen in the training pictures. It’s almost too perfectly lined up. The sleeve obscuring the number on the gloves (why is that a thing?), Barks’ hand blocking the number on the joggers, face out of sight etc.
But on the Instagram version, the photo isn’t cut off at the shins, so you can see the boots. Derby’s Instagram feed conveniently has a nice still image of Collins wearing the same boots whilst scoring the winner against Cheltenham. And yes, I do have too much time on my hands.

We can recall Dajaune Brown on the 20th from his loan at Gateshead. I don't think we will, even if Collo is out for the season. DB is 18 and (and I might be wrong) PW seems loathe to put young uns in just in case he ruins their confidence. Just as much chance they do well  and grow in confidence. Things not going your way is a path to growth in everything you do. Football is no different. Give the kids a chance. Impress upon them that things not going our way isn't going to end their careers before they've even started. Put them on in their proper position and tell them to do exactly what has got them this far. If it doesn't work today, it will tomorrow...... not giving them a chance might actually be worse for them than being on the wrong end of a scoreline.

Think we should rule out Owen Bradley being on the windup immediately, not his style.
I’m sure he’s been told the club are not ruling anything out, it’s a knee. Bruise, sprain, twist, ligaments.
Best case a bruise, worst case ACL.

Sometimes it’s unavoidable going 3 at the back though. For instance when Cashin is out and you need to retain defensive solidity against a team who had scored 21 goals in 30 games prior to today. 

If there is one thing you can bank on, regardless of who is managing us, it's that we will under no circumstances make the most of an opportunity to make life easier for ourselves.

We've not looked this solid with strong players all over the park for years, say what you like about Warnes style but we won't get outmuscled by many.

I know the purists out there like us to be a passing side, and I’d like some of that for sure, what I do think we’ve lacked for years is a physicality that other teams seem to have. If Warne can find a balance of pace, power and passing that would be great…. And there are occasional hints of that.
