DCFC1388 reacted to We'll be back in 81 in Who is looking forward to league one
Positives for next season.
1. Hopefully cheaper tickets.
2. More games on Saturdays with 3pm kick off.
3. International breaks we will still play. I hate those breaks.
4. World cup break we will still play.
5. Hopefully start on 0 points like everyone else.
6. In this division you are allowed to have standing areas, so then we could have safe standing in the south stand and maybe the east lower and call it the popular side terrace.
7. More games.
8. Someone in charge who will run the club properly and not get us into trouble.

Not having a go, but how much live football have you watched ?
The one thing he isn’t is one footed. It’s a long time since I’ve seen a wide player who can cut in ( his favourite, agreed ) but regularly goes the other way to the bye line. He can also kill a ball dead. He also doesn’t just use pace to beat a man. He can do the slow dribble using his feet. Then add in the crosses .. he can lift and swing it in one. We have been far more dangerous at corners and deep crosses since he started playing. As to strength .. he is pretty good for 18 and stronger on the ball than Sibbo. Man marking .. well since his debut is men marking (plural) which tells you everything.

A bloke who doesn't know how to run a football club brings in an experienced chief executive to keep on top of the day to day operations. And supporters keep whinging.
Because clearly the idea of the owner calling the shots on all footballing decisions worked well for the club..... ?

Ah, the mythical Ashley offer in January where he claimed through the media he was preparing a £50 million offer, presumably intending to scare off other bidders. It didn't work. It never happened. He then allowed CK to take PB status with an offer nearly £20 million below what his media chums claimed he was willing to pay. He's full of shyte and has yet to lodge a formal offer according to Quantuma and this despite all the BS PR 'I'm still interested' guff. He's now claiming to have made a restructured offer, despite not submitting a formal bid in the first instance and with the period of exclusivity still being in place. Had he honoured his word and offered £50 mill in January, there's a fair chance we'd still be in the Championship. Let that sink in for a moment.
As it stands, Quantuma are adamant that there's been no contact since last year so I think it's fair to assume that in respect of Derby County, he's nothing more than a stalking horse who is quite happy to see us go the wall whilst shafting every creditor, merely to save a couple of million of his reported £2.25 billion fortune. CK may not have his experience, nor his financial wherewithwal, but he's at least put his money where his mouth his and with the club teetering on the edge, I'll take actions over words all day long.

I suspect the real deadline is the due date for May's player wages (which is pretty much the same day AFAIK). Kirchner probably has to be pretty convinced it's all going through by then, so he can put the cash in to cover it.
I reckon the players will have already decided whether they're willing to stay in League 1 or not (pending a reasonable takeover completion date, Rooney staying etc). So missing that May 24th date isn't going to make that much of a difference as long as they can see things are getting close.

Nixon Patreon post:
Won't be complete for the weekend
CK still on course to complete
PB status will be extended
CK happy to fill any gap in funding if he carries on as PB, if it runs beyond end of May.

If they decide to switch to Mike Ashley (or anyone else), it's almost like starting from scratch - he's going to have to go through all the EFL business plan stuff again, Quantuma are going to have to redo all the waterfall stuff again if the purchase price/model is different and so on. We're almost certainly going to need funding for this months wages while that's going on. And Ashley is not going to start putting in money in while all that's going on, because it could all still fall through.
If they extend Kirchner's exclusivity period again, I'm going to assume it's because there has been some kind of positive movement this week, behind the scenes.

I rate him, I thought he looked decent for us and wa suprised he disappeared with Watson.
If money is tight he is a good player to have in league 1.

I'd take Ince back in a heartbeat. Proven match winner.

So despite scoring 38 goals and making 17 assists in 114 games, thus making a 0.5 goal contribution per game, he's not welcome back as he let the bigger boys do the physical fighting for him? He was one of the very few we actually made money on during the Morris years of mad spending. We need all the goals, assists and creativity we can in this team for next season - he's shown he can battle it out when on loan at Reading. If he was willing to come for whatever little we can offer players, I'd definitely take him.

When he flew to Bangkok he stated that the majority had been agreed and that there were a few technicalities left to sort alongside agreeing on the stadium (which he seems to be relying on other parties to resolve) so not really sure why folk have an issue with him not being involved in person…if he was here he’d probably be twiddling his thumbs waiting for others to do their thing so he may as well be helping his company….

I believe a deal will get done. We will all see soon enough. But the comments and worry of CK not sat at some imaginary negotiation table is a bit much.
Anyone in the position of a CK, Ashley, or even Mel- aren’t sat at negotiating tables at this stage of a deal. Their skill set is not needed at this point- just their signature.
At this point it is down to lawyers, Accountants, etc to wrap up any deal.
I believe a deal will get done, one way or another. But please don’t be concerned if CK isn’t sat in Derby at the moment. He has done his part, now he waits just like us, so he can sign his name.

Garry Cook will be in the negotiating chair right now. The 'deal' with the administrators (and the EFL) is agreed, so that should require very little input from CK. I believe what comes next can be done remotely AND via Cook.

Morris will not get a penny for the stadium. The payment will go to paying off the MSD loan that we owe... so reducing our debts and making the takeover happen.

DCFC1388 got a reaction from jimtastic56 in The Kirchner-Morris Summit Meeting
We wont be ground sharing as Mel wont allow it so we need a deal on Pride Park.
I may have this wrong but isnt the amount MM wamts for the stadium the amount to pay off the debt to MSD, he wont make any money off it himself?
The issue is that potential buyers and the council dont want to or cant afford that 20-25m so are asking MM to pay the difference in their offer which he clearly isnt willing to do which we have known since CK bid last year when he offered MM less for the ground.
So it seems.
1. The council or CK need to stump up the full money
2. They need to agree a lease agreement with MM / MSD
3. MM has to agree to pay any difference from the offers
Only looks like option 2 has any chance
