This is the main issue apart from the stadium, they EFL know that Boro and WW aren’t creditors but they can’t back down because Boro will sue them , if they don’t back down Derby can then put a claim in against QPR etc and all clubs will be suing each other, they have backed themselves in a corner they can’t get out of it.Some serious legal issues going to come, these need to be called out in public so folks see them for what they are.

The noise so far has been amazing. We will survive and the EFL will get their way and stop us adding to our squad. They have delayed because Gibson is holding them to ransom.

The noise needs to come when we have new owners. That's when to hit the EFL.

Join forces with brum, reading and go for the EFL.

Just a thought…. If everyone tweets @TheLastLeg #isitok they love their sport, love an underdog and pointing out injustice and hypocrisy. They may troll the EFL like they did trump!

Thanks GFS….we now have as many ‘#isitok’ mentions as Boris today!! More people do this. It will get picked up. They need a second story.

I've just seen that Huddersfield are hosting one of the European legs of Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer's joint world tour this summer. How on earth have they managed to book that? This shows there's a demand for stadias to host concerts. VIP tickets are £575 each, lots of money to be made there!  https://hellamegatour.com/

Maybe they're building a little pot to give Gibson & Couhig if they're (as ridiculous as it would be) found to be football creditors. Got to look after those two, after all.

Do we need to up the pressure. The petition has slowed considerably and MPs have gone silent. Can we all ramp this up and bring it back into people’s attention?

    Hi guys
I hadn't seen a post on here about the march so passing the message on.
Ryan the chap who has taken the time to organise everything will be doing media rounds with Ed Dawes & Natalie Jackson so hopefully as many fans as possible will be aware and can attend. Would be great if we can get a few thousand.
I have managed to get 40 / 50 flags so these will be distributed on the day and I will then take these back to get into the stadium for the game.
Will also be a new banner about Save the Club at the front of the march.
In short, an 1130 meet at the Assembly Rooms and slow walk to Pride Park via closed roads thanks to Derby Police and Roger Brown who has sorted this. Expect to arrive at Pride Park just after midday.
Be good if as many as possible can join in to spread the word. This is potentially our last chance to show what this football club means to our city to the wider audience.

The Geordies wanted him to invest enough to compete for the top 4 as that is where they felt they belonged, which is of course ludicrous. He didnt pour his entire life savings into Newcastle, so the Geordies took against him. They like to use words like ambition to criticise him, but frankly they need to kissing his feet for saving them from destruction.
Thats basically it. They didnt like his financial discipline, they didnt like that he only won them two trophies and they didnt like some of the people he put into key roles.
We have much more realistic ambitions at Derby and i expect we wont have anywhere near the level of hatred towards him if Ashley does buy us.

Exactly. Apologise to all 72 clubs, amend the rules to make them clearer with what amortisation method they wish clubs to use going forward. That's it.
It's ok putting out a 10pm statement saying they have no vendetta, but when they are forcing the club to rewrite its accounts for previous seasons, is it any wonder we feel a little aggrieved by.
What really gets my goat is, Gibson initially kicked off about the stadium sale, meanwhile the Forest owner down the road is moving players/money between his 2 clubs, season after season and no other owner has questioned who sets the valuations?
The fans of that club have the balls to laugh and call us cheats. For what exactly? I bet not one of them can clearly state what it is Derby have done wrong, they will mumble their way through a stadium how much, dodgy accounts line.
They belong down Hooters where all the other tits are on show.
Oh, back to Gibson, the guy who sold the clubs tax losses, how he can even think about even lifting his finger to point at other clubs is beyond me.
Anyway, sorry I quoted you in all this, every so often I just have to write it all down in the hope that someone, just one person looks at this and says, you know what, that's a bit dodgy what they are doing to Derby.

You are confusing law with regulations. The law is vague to allow for the businesses you mention, the EFL did not specify that a particular line of accounting should be used under their rules, until 3 years later.

But that was my whole point - sorry if I wasn’t clear. The accounts did reflect EFL rules, because the rules themselves only asked for audit compliant accounts. If the rules had said “straight-line amortisation of player value over the period of the contract/a fixed period” then they could challenge them even if they were audit-compliant.

The fundamental problem is their own rules didn’t say what they wanted them to say, and it was entirely in their power to clarify and change. To interpret them “against statute” and say other forms of amortisation aren’t audit-compliant is untrue and unfair, and to apply this incorrect interpretation retrospectively to gerrymander a points deduction is even worse.
