So so sad... thousands of rams fans don't know you but today,me included, will be that much sadder with life. Football always comes second when this horrible thing happens. Condolences to you and your family Josh. Hope us fans can give you something against Cambridge to show we are all sharing your grief mate and you are part of the Rams family. Stay strong.

Very sad news for Josh and his family, the support from his colleagues will be needed at a difficult time like this, sometimes there’s more to life than football. 😔
Perhaps something could be arranged by fans to show support at the home game? Applause at the 31st min or something?

Yes me too CornwallRam. Mentioned it as well a few pages back. It was played at half time when we played Wigan but i thought it was the wrong time to play it. Come on DCFC play it before the teams come out and put the words on screen. I think this would be brilliant PR and hopefully we could treat this as  'our song'. Over to you South Stand. UTR!

I missed this at the time and when I read it I thought it was a daft idea. Yet watching the Hull KR fans singing it, I reckon it sounds brilliant.
Come on South Stand - time for Erasure, A Little Respect.

Warne is the sort of person who comes across as wanting to be a really good mate of anyone he meets. It's a good trait to have and I would love to have someone move in next door with his outgoingness. He is eloquent, friendly and, despite what some people say on here, cares about where this great club of ours needs to be. Perhaps his downfall to some fans is that the performances/results haven't been good so far. Time will tell. We have to stick with him and his staff. He will deliver when hopefully some more signings come through the door before the window closes. I believe he will take us up this season, albeit through the playoffs. We all need to stick together players, fans and management alike. Come May all this 'sack him now' nonsence will be forgotten. Could say a lot more on this subject but will revisit this later in the season. UTR!

My main cause for pause at the moment is that as silly as some of his interviews are, he does come across as genuine and I do like him. Then when i couple that with what he's said about actual footballing matters, such as high energy, pressing, the need to get younger and all the rest of it, which i agree with, I am on board fully.
The problem then arises when you look at what the team actually is, which is an old team of plodders who aren't actually pressing or high energy in the slightest. The moves we've made are, yes, slightly younger on the whole but nearly all defensive ones. Then he mentions about not being able to get attacking players better than we've got, and we're linked (yes, can't believe every link etc) with pretty much exclusively players over the age of 30... something just doesn't add up.
Collins was dropped last season for being useless, and we're meant to believe he's unable to sign anyone under 30 who would improve upon him? I just highly, highly, doubt that. Someone with pace who couldn't hit a barn door with a machine gun would actually improve this team for what we want to do.
In summary, he's said a lot I agree with but the actions haven't followed what he's said - whether you can take the transfer market excuse or whatever, it's irrelevant, the outcome is the same.
It's a huge couple of weeks to end the transfer window because if we don't get what the squad needs, we won't achieve a thing we want to.

First of all, I am still with Warne and think we all must give him more time and support but I can also see why a fair few fellow supporters are getting a bit worried with our overall direction as a club:
Signings: None of the new additions looks like good business at the moment except maybe Vickers. I think many hoped for Warne et.al to identify a bit more unkown up and coming players in a different age group after last seasons interview. The players signed doesn't really bring to much re-sell value and when they also under perform well that's a concern. Last years loans of White and Springett turned out to be 1/10 unfortunately.
Tactics: It's been quite hard to understand how Derby County under Warne are supposed to be playing. Last season was a bit like give the ball to McGoldrick and hope for something to happen. This season has started, at least to me, a bit like the same but without McGoldrick. I do not claim to be a football manager in any way but it's been hard to see what we try to execute on the pitch in terms of passing patterns, team pressure, recapture and possession etc. For some reason our players seem unable to perform as a TEAM on the pitch which surprise me a lot from a Warne team.
Comments: I am a bit worried regarding the perceived differences between Warnes comments and actual outcomes so far. Type of signings as stated above, the talk about great characters who doesn't show up for the teams second game a Tuesday in August and the talk of endeavour and commitment from the team not really showing on the pitch. A hard-trained team that seems to run out steam well before the opposition.
Player development: A main concern is the lack of player development under Warne. This is hard to evaluate since he only has been here for a season but how many players (except McGoldrick) actually developed under Warne. Sibley, Bird, Knight (sold now) and Cashin do not seem to have taken any major development steps during that first year. At least it's not showing yet.
Results: You could live with all of the above if results would have been good but when the results are mediocre to bad then we seem to have some serious problems.
I truly hope Warne and his team can turn this around because they seem to be honest hard working genuine  good people. And I think results are the minor problem if they could hit correct on signings and tactics all could turn upwards in a heartbeat. We have lashed ourselves at the mast with Warne so now I see it as the only constructive thing to support him and say a silent prayer to Lady Fortuna that he gets things right soon.

I'm up for 'A Little Respect'. It seems in keeping with what the authorities are trying to bring into football. End of seriousness, I just love the song and remember dancing to it in the late 1980s. I'm up for it but is the rest of the South Stand.

I hope my early suggestion may have somehow helped start something off but i will be eternally grateful for the organisers on that day. What a day, what a march, it really was a defining moment to say to the football world - 'We are not letting this fantastic club of ours die'. UTR!

That march is quite probably the most signigicant event in the entire history of Derby County since participating in it appears to have convinced David Clowes that if he didn't intervene then we almost certainly would be no more. That thought is frightening!
I've often wondered who the actual instigators of the march were because we, as Rams fans, owe them a huge debt of gratitude.
