Got a bit of time for their fans. They were very staunch in their support of us when times were darkest for the club. Even when we beat them at their place, they were applauding our lads and singing f*** the EFL with our lot. Good few online were hugely complimentary about our away support too. It was heartwarming and uplifting stuff when it was needed and it won't be forgotten in a hurry.

Bloody annoying UEFA TV, won't cast so either via an app which I haven't yet got our 'smart' tv to sideload I assume as it's not listed. Or via a web browser. Web browser it is then.
Goal-less at half-time. Noni Madueke looks great up front but is as accurate as Dobbin!

If this was your first game, then I'm surprised that you ever wanted to watch another. This remains the most tedious game that I've ever witnessed.
We were already champions and they were already relegated. It was a hot day and all 22 players had downed tools for the season.  Absolutely nothing happed for 90 minutes.

Matt Taylor managed to keep Rotherham up last year on the lowest Championship wage bill after six years of the Rotherham yo-yo.
I’m confident of leaving League One this year, Warne’s real test comes the year after. 👍

Just reading a thread from Millwall fans about Burey - seems like his head has gone from a series of racist comments from some of his own supporters. He’s been labelled as ignorant, a problem by a couple of the fans, another had a different take and classed him as a confidence player, extremely introvert.
Whoever the kid goes to, personally, I’m just glad he’s getting out of that environment and to a club where he won’t be racially abused by his own fans.

For some 20 years after that win in 1946 football was pretty much making small moves upwards, When Hungary beat England 6-3 in the Puskas game in the early 1950s we were not the world beaters we thought we were, Slowly but surely players were getting better and wages thanks to Jimmy Hill who helped break the wage structure were getting higher, There was a new era of football when England won the World Cup in 1966.
By the 70s football was on a high even little old Derby County won 2 Division 1 titles, The 80s were upon us and a new bread of footballer was moving in...the foreigner, These players bought a new way of playing and showed what can be done with a little gamesmanship a word that wasn't used then but it was seen as a way to get an advantage on the opposition...and then.
Sky TV came along and changed football forever...millions/billions of £ $ €, Football has moved into the stratosphere where players are earning £500k a week are seen as equal to the movie stars and pop stars, But with all this it has brought misery and destruction to some clubs see Derby County 😡
I've been watching Derby since 1966 as a 10 year old and seen how football has changed for the good and bad, My love for the game is like a Cow in the field chewing grass...it's there so I'll watch it, But that grass has to find a way out of the cows system and for me it's what football has turned into...sh!t
Only an old mans opinion Jake, But if you have time see if you can find "Football Leaks" a true film where a guy called Rui Pinto hacked into the world of corruption in football.
PS choosing Derby County as your team...is a good call 👍

Here’s my post from the greatest individual performance I’ve ever seen.

Perhaps not one of the great days, but, the result was huge in the football world.
…………. the dream was on! 🐑

September 1969, Cloughs team had been promoted to League One, 9 matches unbeaten, away to Fairs Cup winners  (google it young uns) Newcastle United, travelled up on the Trent buses football special, travelled back on a different bus, but more of that later, 40,000 crowd.
    David Craig Mackay was unbelievable!
You could see why Clough had persuaded  the 33 year old to sign for the club.  Organising, pointing, shouting, encouraging, passing short, passing long, crunching tackles and strutting around at the back like he owned the place and that clenched fist…………..magnificent.
Anyway, Roy Mac scored the winner, the bus got smashed up and my team Derby County and Mr Brian Howard Clough were top of the league!

    ………………..happy days. 👍🐏

Old Spalding Ram reacted to SouthDerbysRam in Jason Knight - joined Bristol City
I thought we needed 2 runners adding to the team this off-season, players that run the hard, difficult yards, either at wing back or in midfield. If we lose Knight, we'll need 3 of that sort of player. IMO Knight is the only player in the team currently that can do that, which highlights how difficult it is to find that kind of player.
I can understand folks saying that he needs to add more goals and assists to his game. I'm not sure this season is the best argument for that.  How can you add goals and assists when, from memory,
He started the season at fullback because we didn't have any. The other midfield options didn't really have the skillset to play fullback either, Knight was the only one that did. Then got injured for a bit When he came back, we were unbeaten for several games with McGoldrick as the number 10 - can you really change the team in that scenario? When he did play number 10 towards the end of the season, the teams flaws elsewhere in the side got exposed and we were leaking goals. We need the money and wouldn't begrudge selling him because of that, he should be looking to further his career. But I completely disagree with posts that suggest he's easily replaceable or not good enough.
