Tamworthram got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Summer transfer suggestion thread
It’s called negotiation. You go in low (but not ridiculously low) with the hope and expectation that you’ll meet somewhere in the middle.
If their ask is £500k (again, have they gone in high?) an opening bid of £250k doesn’t sound too unreasonable.

Give me a break. It's not like he's moving country. He's still speaking the same language, with the same weather , same food , same music and TV. This is no excuse for a professional in any career. Can't imagine telling my boss I'm doing a crap job because I'm living a whole 2 hours away from where I previously lived.

No. Louie Sibley is a better left back than Buchanan and he isn't even a left back!

Pretty much what Sunderland, Sheff Wed, Ipswich, Leeds, Forest, Southampton and Charlton all thought at one time or another. Good luck with that.

Ward is recovering from surgery, Waggy and Fozzy have young families. Do you really need someone to list the rest of the squad for you?

If you'd been married you'd know that you wouldn't be the one doing the cutting.

Are you not confusing aim with expectation?
I’m sure the “aim” will be to win every game and thereby win the league BUT, the realistic “expectation” (amongst us fans) should probably mid to lower end of the table.
Of course back to back promotions is possible as Ipswich are probably about to prove but it’s very rare and Ipswich have of course been on a slightly different journey to us and I very much doubt they expected to achieve what they have done this time last year.

Tamworthram reacted to ariotofmyown in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
Feel a bit sorry for Clatters here and he has a point about unmerited targeting of him personally.
All that happened is Forest called out a clear example of bias and match fixing against VAR, and completely fairly attacked Atwell personally, calling him a Luton Town cheat. Clatters then followed up with a very fair article in the Daily Mail, totally not one sided in Forest's favour and definitely not written as if he was a independent columinst, as opposed to a paid employee of Forest.
His comments on leaving Forest seem genuinely remorseful and reflective, and not yet more histrionics from a pathetic narcisist.
Good luck in your future career Clatters. I'm sure it can't get anymore embarrassing.

He said “one of the greatest” not “the greatest”.
Of course the achievement in itself doesn’t compare to our league wins, glorious victories in Europe or even winning the old second division but, as other have said, the context is all important here. Less than two years ago we were on the brink of extinction. Even after DC saved the club we could easily have found ourselves floundering in league one for too many seasons.

There is 23 home games, so it’s 1,132.7 pies per game
It’s shameful how some fans manipulate stats to try to get the manager sacked 😉

Yes I've had the email.
I'm a bit disappointed it didn't include the key stat: XG for all the games I've watched. 😃
