Gary Neville just spoke very well on Sky Sports about how MFC and WW must stand down in the interest of the football family. Very open and honest words.

Ever thought you might be wrong
Surely you must have some elation tonight

Jortat reacted to borrowashram in My heart is breaking we about to lose our team
Hoping the latest news can be the start of better things to come, tried to express what the club means to me:
I used to walk to the Pop Side with my Dad
Now I walk with memories of what we had
Past the vans and the smell of burgers
The tribe gathers, the flock converges
So please don't take my Derby away
In the stairwell I give a pause
Above, the South Stand rises and roars
Chants and songs that we all own
As one, together, no one alone
You are my Derby, My only Derby
The referee was a joke
Their goal a lucky toe-poke
Fight on! all Rams say the same
There is always the next game
You make me happy, when skies are grey
Suddenly a club in its death-throws
Is there a future, no-one knows
Soul of a city with all its history
Are their hearts so bleak and wintry
You’ll never notice, how much I love you
A tiny baby inside a pram
On his chest, proudly a ram
I dream that one day my son will say
I used to walk with my Dad down Pride Park Way
So please don’t take my Derby away

And no damage to the City Ground, @TomBustler1884 raised this in the Boro tickets thread, but worth mentioning again.
The last thing we need is a bill to cover damages inside their stadium as you took your frustrations out on the toilets and pink seats.
We don't need any negative press to come from this game, none whatsoever, go do us proud over there and come back with the 3 points.

I've backed off looking at Twitter this week mainly because of the sheer vitriol being posted by predominantly Notts Forest fans. And more than a handful of 'Boro fans too. Interestingly, and to their credit I've not seen much from Leeds fans personally. Like you say, I get the hatred but the unquenching desire to see us liquidated has amazed me. Low life doesn't even begin to describe these people. I'm a great believer in karma and fate. I very much hope they get theirs. Not their club - I wouldn't want any club to fold, regardless of who they are, but anyone who rubs their hands in glee at seeing people's lives destroyed, oh yeah, bring on fate and karma by the bucket load.

The EFL can't just dismiss the claims, but they can consider them not to be football creditors, which sends them down to the bottom of the pile next to myself and once the sale goes through it's settled.
Anyhow, leave all that for the other topic than get in the way of everyones Friday party in here, the administrators would be foolish not to take this offer on the table now, pack their bags before they change their mind on the bid than go down that path. They would be just as stubborn as Gibson which you would assume is highly unlikely.
Never expected anyone just to take them on head to head, unfortunately though it doesn't give us the clear slate we all wanted, we would be in for months of headlines as it goes back and forth.....but we will have a club and thats the main thing right now.

Just got this from their Twitter account as they take-off to the UK to sign the deal just before we smash Forest.

The wording would suggest that there's a difference between expressing interest, and actually going in with a bid.
Sort of like watching an item on a popular auction site vs. clicking bid now.
Happy that the offer seems to want to ignore the club claims and be willling to deal with that further down the line. They must be confident in their assessment of the outcome to take the risk.

I know this doesn't mean much yet, but after the week we've had I'm going to enjoy this moment of optimism.

we're heading north on the M1 right now, just beyond Barnsley. I think then we'll head back south, down the A1 and pass Peterborough probably at high speed, Wayne might be in danger of a ticket. After that, well we'll see. It might be the A15 back up to Hull - depends on the traffic. Or maybe we go down to the M25, take the M4 West (I guess we'll take a detour round Reading and obviously give Bristol a wide berth) and fly past Cardiff towards the valleys. Bit of a party in the Mumbles, then turn round, onto the M5, and take the long drive back up to the North East and do wheelies on Mr Gibson's large lawn

Jortat reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Contact/Email Quantuma, demand answers!?
I’ve had similar thoughts, collections at the ground would bring something in, setting up something for those of us who live outside of Derby, the county and even the country seems pragmatic. I understand the need for those who can attend matches to keep doing so and spend money once there, for those of us at a further distance it’s not always an option. I’ve bought merch and attended a couple of times this season, my Uncle is a Ram living in America and he ordered a load of merch to be shipped over to him. What about a raffle for a signed shirt? Virtual ticket sales? Sponsor a seat/brick in the wall/blade of grass? if it has to be a commercial transaction bringing money into the club there must be options to do this?!

Must admit I can’t believe there has been no attempt in any way to get supporters to help financially. I feel sure tens of thousands are going missing every week. Just ask supporters to set up a direct debit for the next 6 months. I would do it in a flash. Just do it every thing helps.

I want to hear Derby MPs use the justification of 'I love Niall' as part of their reasoning when debating this

Jortat reacted to Kernow in Wayne Rooney
I don't think I'd be ready for Rooney leaving to be added on top of the already heartbreaking situation we find ourselves in.
The compensation money would probably fund us until the end of the season at least, but would the club be as appealing if he goes? Sponsors, potential owners, players... all cited Rooney as a pulling factor for us. If he goes, do players decide they'll leave after all? Does the amount buyers are willing to pay drop?
I've seen enough this season with Rooney to tell me I want him to be involved with Derby for a long, long time. He's my favourite manager since McClaren 9 years ago, and if he keeps us up he'd definitely eclipse that. Maybe he would still even if we don't stay up.
I thought that if the worst comes to worst, and we end up with a phoenix club, Wayne and his American friends might want to buy us. He wouldn't manage us, but at least he's involved.
To summarise, I really do not want him to go to Everton. Not sure if I made that clear.
