Highest number of points in a season for us,2nd as we stand with the highest goal difference....I'll take pragmatic over "playing nice stuff" to keep on winning....and he seems to know what he's doing,so I'll leave him to it

I certainly feel this way sometimes - but could it be that the quality of the football this season has been determined more by:
- the quality of the players available to Warne (loads of injuries, especially to those with better ability)
- His restrictions regarding recruitment
- The reality of the league and the way the opposition force you into playing at times
I’ve seen us play some horrible hoofball this season but I don’t think we can say for sure that this is all on Warne and, if we go up, he’s going to have earned the right to have a go next season with (hopefully) better players

The football this season has been tough to watch, even when winning. There's definitely cause for concern when thinking about how we're going to do if we go up.
But if Paul Warne manages to get us promoted with a squad that has been plagued with injuries all season whilst having next to no money to spend, then he will have more than earned the right to take us into next season.
He'll also have earned the chance to spend some money and mould this squad into what he wants.
Quite what that might, in theory, look like worries me slightly, based on what we've seen this season. But that's just an assumption. Maybe with some money to spend, Warne can overhaul the playing staff and get us playing some nicer stuff? We'll see.
The bigger question will then be: what money has he got to work with?
The club and ownership will need to back him if he's going to have a decent chance.

Aside from the occasional one or two, I don’t think anyone on here actually thinks the football club should sack their manager with three games (maybe a few more) to go.
I do think however that there’s a good chunk who don’t want to see another season of his football, even if that season is spent in the division above.

Totally agree with all of this.
I think the last few games of this season are, for supporters, make or break. If we don't go up I'm not sure there will be many that will want to see another season of League One with Paul Warne. It's been hard enough to watch this season...and we're second!
Whether or not David Clowes sees it that way, though...

My concern is that this season we are likely to post one of the highest, if not the highest ever wage bill recorded by a League One team. I think Ipswich 22-23 at £19.7m is currently the highest and that includes promotion bonuses. We could easily go over that with last season's wage bill at £17.2m. I suspect it will likely exceed £20m.
This has to be it for Warne - make or break. If he doesn't win promotion then we go into another rebuild next season, ok without restrictions, but the club is already losing roughly £10m at this level from just standing still. I just don't see the appetite there for another Warne season - especially given the increases in season tickets which make us one of, if not THE, most expensive in the league.
We miss out on promotion, which frankly will be through nothing but losing our own bottle and you're charging near on £600 for a season ticket on the West or East stand next season. It's almost a given that you're going to have to replace managers in order to create a sense of excitement and a fresh start.
The very last thing the club need now is fans to stop turning up to games.

I’m new but will be there from Bristol. I’m so excited to be able to go to a game on my own! We’ll, with other Rams of course.

Well said.
We were told not to record or anything last night, as the Club would be putting out the full video today.
I was therefore a bit disappointed to find out that Dietrich was live tweeting, but putting out his own slant on what was said. His headline on X
Fallout? Hardly, and the subtext makes it sound like Brown has left as well as Fleming.
Just slightly seedy and not at all a reflection of the mood of the room last night.

An independent regulator may mean a fairer distribution of TV money, which may mean less risk taking from Championship clubs.

I'm not here to challenge anyones opinions, they are what they are, let them be.
Personally I'm delighted with the job that Warne is doing, I think Dwight Gayles recent interview and the scenes at full time in front of a sell out crowd on Saturday show the togetherness of this team is a credit to the management team.
His style may seem a little unorthodox to some and it won't suit every player, yet it's working with what was assembled whilst scraping barrels under EFL's restrictions makes it even more of an achievement.
When you look at the likes of Sunderland, Leeds, Forest who came down here, to think we can be in and out in 2 seasons is truly remarkable given the state of the club.
Important to point out, the season isn't done, we still have 7 huge games to play before we can start to think about the Championship, although no matter what happens between now and May, I have seen significant improvement to be fully behind Warne next season regardless of what division we are in.

A few quickfire thoughts from me on todays game:
- Curtis Nelson might well be the signing of the season. Followed closely by Kane Wilson.
- Forsyth was good today but I was very surprised that the MoM award didn’t go to either Wildsmith or Cashin. Both kept us in the game at times.
- We need to begin moving on from Hourihane now. He is just not offering enough and his tracking back is very poor. Thompson and Adams in the middle for me, going forward.
- Derby fans are great.
