I really hope Warne is able to string some results together and turn this ship around over the next two months. Put us back up towards 3rd/4th and then strengthen in January. This is the best case scenario.
Do I think that will happen? On the evidence of this season: no.
I think when we debate these things people misconstrue what people think with what they want.
We all (just about) want Warne and Co to be successful here. Do we all think that he will be? There's the debate. Fans criticising Warne are not "so called supporters" - they have just as much a right to think and predict where this project is going as anyone else.
If Clowes is going to give him more time to prove that; fair play. That's his call and he will be rightly critcised/praised on how that pans out. AS HE SHOULD BE.
I don't want to see us make the same mistake we made on here at times with Mel and make him out to be immune from criticism because he's put in £XYZ...

The calls are always screened; I think generally they do a pretty good job of having a balance. Just felt a bit like criticism of Warne was being reacted to quite differently to the calls to back him.

It’s one of these for me:
    1) Genuinely believes that the biggest takeaway from the Mel era was that chopping and changing managers constantly was the problem, as opposed to just hiring bad ones (which was the problem)
    2) He can’t afford to sack him, which is troubling in itself because that’s something you really need to be able to afford in order to run a football club…
    3) He is publicly backing him but has different thoughts privately (a bit like @Duracellwas suggesting)
    4) He is quite happy to let us go through years of being a League One club because a League One Derby County is something he can afford to run, as opposed to a Championship one.

Lots of very positive Warne texts and calls tonight. One negative one comes on at the end and gets short shrift from Dom.
Not saying that social media is necessarily a good measuring stick for how people are feeling, but I was expecting a lot more anti-Warne calls after everything that I’ve seen on Twitter and on here.

I’d rate Clowes’ ownership abilities better if he accepted that it was a mistake/misjudgment/whatever and cut the losses, rather than just continue with the hope that things get better.
Performances are poor. They haven’t really been great during Warne’s whole tenure, but now the results are poor, there’s nothing to fall back on.
The longer we wait, the more chance we have of a third season in League 1. I don’t think there’s any chance of things turning around, everything is against him now.

Had 24 hours to think it over and I think I have now given up on the Warne appointment.
I was fully behind replacing Rosenior with him at the time. I saw in him a manager with knowledge of the division, multiple promotions and the sort of attitude that would motivate.
What we’ve ended up with is a string of poor signings, an underdog mentality and a playing style that actively makes me switch off. I also have found his attitude towards Radio Derby and us as supporters to be disappointing.
It hasn’t worked and I don’t think it’s going to.
At this point I would rather see us make a change now rather than potentially waste more of this season trying to make this work.

Like you turn up a train for a Sunday league team and they like the look of you so you start playing for their A team.
There’s been loads of puzzling decisions this season and that one was definitely one of the more alarming ones.
