Clive Baker at 5'9" when he played for Ipswich is I think the smallest in the PL era, as you say though Given was on the smaller side for a keeper especially as when he was coming through there was a rush of getting giant Scandinavian keepers in for cheap. I'm the same age group as Given and 5' 10 1/2" and was told at 17 that I was too small and was released from a league club, my best mate who was at Derby at the same time was a bit smaller than me and was also released albeit a year later.
You have to be pretty special to be on the shorter side and make it, eg. Given, Casillas.

He's currently doing his B Licence under the Player2Coach initiative, will have his UEFA B by end of year.

I may have the specifics wrong, but he's working on a course it may be the FA Level 3 (UEFA B) or the FA Level 4 (UEFA A) that he's doing, and the Player2coach seems to be a BAME course, but had dinner with a St. Georges Park coach last week who is a friend of Waynes and he told me that he will have the badge required for the Champ by Christmas and it was an accelerated course like the Player2Coach scheme.

Not explicitly mentioned but given that it's suggested that Rooney walks if we are demoted I would assume that it all hinges on being a Championship club this season, given that the parties involved are all close to Wayne. Although that is my interpretation of what I've been told.

For what it's worth there is confidence that we will not be demoted.

Take this as it's meant, this has come via two pretty influential figures in DCFC history over the past 30 years, not claiming to be ITK and am just repeating what I've been told from sources that I rate highly.
Been told today that it is a Washington DC based consortium/investors that are behind the bid for the club, knew Rooney when he played for DC United, and are just waiting to see which division we are in next season, it's expected to be the Championship.  Led to believe that one of the investors is an agent.
IF we are relegated then Rooney walks, that is not thought to be expected though.
All ready to go and waiting on the EFL appeal and conformation of Championship status.

No idea of money to spend, but given the past few years spending then maybe that doesn't really matter and frugality could be the key.

There were certainly discussions back in 88/89 for Cruyff to come in as manager.  I believe that summer we also made moves to bring in Wise and Townsend as well as Houghton .

I'm hoping somebody can back me up here because I'm not sure it was ever public knowledge, but at the time my old man was friendly with a number of the directors and they made a run at Johan Cruyff to grab him before he went to the USA after  leaving Barca.
And somebody mentioned Ray Houghton. That was more than he rumor, he gave Derby a verbal 'yes' before Liverpool stepped in.

Ray Houghton was rumoured to be coming here from Oxford, for some reason chose Liverpool instead.
Carlos Valderama trained at the Ramarena although unsure if he was ever a realistic signing.
Lubos Kubik,  and Ivo Knoflicek as some form of insane Maxwell deal.
Rather pleased that we didn't get Jason Steele last season.

Eric Steele tells a good story about going to scout him for Villa and how all transfers from Croatia had to go through a 'Mr. Big' and what they offered Eric as hospitality (Eric, being an utter gent refused obviously)

I am bringing up the little guy (loweman3) to be a devout Ram, just like my old man did with me, when I die and they lay me to rest it’s going to go to him, my thoughts are that over time the shirts will become rarer and more valued, but I would still love to see in some mad world or parallel universe a load of mannequins displaying each shirt, like in the yard were they could all be on a shelf about ten feet up and running around the entire internal perimeter all 160 of them ! Or of course when we get this rams museum open at Pride Park !
i reckon it has cost around £8,000 so far putting together, I would like to think that some of them are quite valuable.
