IlsonDerby got a reaction from TINMANTED in Match Thread: Wycombe (a)
If we don’t go up - given the position we were in before this match then we just don’t deserve it.
Honestly though this football has been absolutely horrible.
Anyone who whinged about Mac not having a plan B hang your head in shame.
We don’t even have a plan A here.

A point wouldn’t even be awful tonight but Jesus wept this performance is just not good enough.

Open net from within 6 yard box + NML hit over from a 1v1 in a chance he was snapping up earlier on this season

I think if we could get him fit for a while that Elder could finally be the heir to Forsyth. Think that he looks very good on the ball and very steady when he actually pieced together a few appearances.
He was always going to look shaky dipping in and out of the team due to injuries but he was in team of the year last time he was at this level.
I don’t believe that young players who are the best in their position in league 1 wouldn’t be able to step up well.
Agree with what you say about us having a lot of ‘decent championship pros’ already and needing to add real quality for those we bring in to make the difference.

I don’t really hate any football clubs but I certainly hate people within football.
Couhig and Gibson.
Would bring me no finer delight than to beat a team owned by one of these two ambulance chasing w******.

Can’t believe how downbeat some are about the chances of some of the players stepping up.
Think pointing to Nelson getting relegated ignores who he was paired with at the back - with Cashin (a year more experienced) he’s a calm head and a good leader at the back.
Marshall and Byrne were both relegated before we signed them 👀 turned out to be pretty good for us.

I think the reason why @Bris Vegas post has rubbed people up the wrong way is 2 fold.
1) the timing of it
2) deep down people know it’s accurate
We have done well to get ourselves into this position with 4 left to play despite the injuries. The recent run we went on to completely turn it around and go from play offs to automatic hopefuls was really impressive.
BUT our performances against the better sides this season will see us struggle in the championship. The gulf between this league and the one above is huge. Warne comfortably got Rotherham up 3 times to then be relegated 3 times. We need probably 12 new signings to even compete up there and none of us truly know where we stand financially and what our budget will allow.
I don’t think Bris is wumming I just think his opinions came at a time people wanted to celebrate. It’s acceptable to say this would be a relegation scrap next year in a higher division.
I like Warne but he’s done nothing to show he can be successful in the division above despite going up with the best team in league 1. We’ve not even got that luxury!!
Anyway up the rams! A nervy last 4 but put ourselves into a great position. I hope it’s wrapped up before Carlisle so we can have a party atmosphere.

I’m embracing the shithousing nature of our performances because I can’t do owt about it.
I want nothing more than for Evatt to be talking about how bad we look whilst he’s discussing his play off starting eleven.
