    Hear hear!
This is almost exactly how I feel about it. Grew up in Derby, now live in Tokyo, previously lived in Australia. Radio Derby has offered a connection to the club for years. I like listening to Ramage and Ed.
I try to sync the video with Radio Derby every match but that's because I prefer RD. It's not because I hate the video commentary - I don't.  It's fine.
I suppose one thing I've noticed is that it feels and sounds as though the RD team are right in the thick of it at the game, whereas the in-house commentary team is sitting in a room watching a TV screen.  Not sure whether that's the reality and I admit that I haven't listened to it much to really know whether this is always the case.
It's nice to have the choice.

My preference is FOR the Radio Derby team, not AGAINST the Rams TV commentary TBH.
Jack's not my favourite but I don't really have an issue with his commentary.
But, as an Australian, Radio Derby has been my connection to the club for years. I was an early subscriber to the previous app (the name of which momentarily escapes me) and switched to Rams TV from the start.
For all of the frustrating aspects of the Radio Derby coverage, I'm used to channelling my passion for the club via Rampage...and enjoy him for almost the same reasons most Derbyshire-based fans find him annoying.

Pro-tip: If you're a video subscriber, you can actually log in twice simultaneously; once on the app and once on the DCFC website.
If you click on audio for one and video on the other, you can pause the video to reduce the lag...
It does seem to work better (ie it's more malleable) if you select the video on one in particular - the website, I think - but it ultimately doesn't matter as it works whichever way you do it.?

Oh I'm well aware of the paranoia mate! Which always makes me chuckle, because most of the media types I come across tend to have a soft spot for Derby!
I'll always go back to Bloomers - excellent journalist, broadcaster, and a good commentator. But got stick because he wasn't a Derby fan - bonkers.

Not sure if you’ve noticed but as a fan base we suffer from paranoia.
Sky Sports hate us, Prutton and Goodman hate us, the BBC hate us, Daily Mirror and Mail hate us, Kenny Bur....forget that one.
With everyone hating us I’m not surprised at the requests to have a Derby County fan commentate, one of our own.
Call me weird but I tend to zone out from all TV commentators, mix it into the background noise coming from the Dog, I can see what’s going on with my eyes.
The personal preference thing is key here, you will never please everyone regardless of who you stick behind the microphone.
Even the much loved Graham Richards has his dislikers.
You could say we’re all just a bit different and I like it that way.

Love Rams TV and commented earlier in the season about two 'suggestions for improvement' (which, for once, isn't a euphemism).
With my professional background, I fully understand why the annual subscription option may have been deemed too costly to retain but it'd be silly of me to pass up the opportune moment to reiterate the case for its reinstatement: as an Australian Rams TV audio subscriber at present, the past month has seen us broadcast at least four of the past five matches (I think; Norwich was the only match not broadcast here...of all the matches!)
You'd be 'cray cray' to stump up for a broadcast subscription this month. Had I the annual option, Derby would have my dollars (converted into a tishload of pounds) months ago and I wouldn't have to even think about whether to go broadcast or audio each month...
Nor is that an especially easy process (and very painful if you miss the renewal date)...
So, please, in the event that we're ever in the Championship after this season, reconsider the annual option ?
NB: The other suggestion remains a brilliant one too (if I do say so myself): permit the matching of Radio Derby descriptions with the telecast please. I'd be happy to pay a premium for the ability to do that...and recognise that aligning them is my problem. ?

I'm not an expert but Mostyn is spot on (and that's a sentence I didn't think I would ever type).
One thing though: Execise is great & can help a lot but I would recommend doing cardio stuff instead of weights. Get the blood pumping for a good period of time regularly and you should feel some benefit.

no problem, but trust me, reading some of the posts in this thread has helped me come on leaps and bounds, and quite selfishly, cos it perhaps feels somewhat inappropriate, I haven't credited those that bared their personal issues for helping me deal with mine. There are plenty though, from the communicating side of things, to lifestyle, diet, medication, exercise etc etc

if there's one thing you should know, you should never feel like your own feelings, if though you perhaps cannot explain and understand them, are irrelevant on the basis of comparison.
The whole reason I started this thread was because I was consumed and confused. Consumed by a heavy sadness, and confused as to why, when I have no relative reason (compared to others).
It became apparent from this thread that there is a massive spectrum from being aware you feel a bit low, to being on the brink of suicide, and beyond.
I cannot tell you what to do, and I cannot and will not tell you to ignore your feelings, but one or two things I will advise, take an hour and read through this thread, it will amaze you what you relate to and what you pick up. I will also say, talk to someone, anyone, it doesn't matter who, just saying it will be massively therapeutic and will trigger the recovery (or dealing with) process. Also, if weights aren't working, change the exercise for something else, if you're in a rut or regime, you won't feel a sense of achievement and a challenge.
All said and done mate, you are not alone in your feelings. You never will be. Hope things improve for you, and if you ever want to PM me, please do so. I have PMd others off the back of this thread, and it helped me, and others have PMd me, and I sincerely hope just talking helped them.

I was hesitant to post this on here incase it comes across that I'm attention seeking but I can assure you I'm not, I just need to get this off my chest somewhere. I don't want to say that I think I have a form of depression as such because I don't believe that's fair on people who genuinely have it but over the last year or so I've been really down. I don't know what the particular cause of it was, maybe a collection of factors such as stresses with work or such but every day seems like a slog to get through. Even the so called good things that I used to like doing before now make me upset and down now and it feels like a ton of bricks have just fallen upon me. The good days are ok but the bad days which seem to be on a regular basis now are really ****. I now more pessimistic than I ever have been in my life. I don't feel that I can talk to any family relatives or friends because I feel they won't understand and I'm hesitant to even get a diagnosis from the doctors because I had some problems when I was younger which were just brushed off by them. I've tried doing physical activities like lifting weights which I must admit helped for a short while to take my mind off things but even doing that seems like a slog. Sorry for this massive piece of text but can anyone with similar experiences in the past possibly give me advice about how to get through this period? I thought this was just what every normal person experiences but I'm convinced it's something more than that

It's got zero to do with understanding technology. I have fiber optic with 1Gb up and download here. I can send a 10GB in under 10 seconds and I'm very techie, yet I've had loads of problems.
The Internet isn't a straight line and no matter what your connection speed or bandwidth you can still have problems because of the way it's routed.
I like it, and I'd hate to lose it, but I've had issues of some description during most games, as have many people if you search the hashtag RamsTV.
People complaining because they didn't get what they paid for doesn't make them a whiner or an idiot.

Unbelievable comments from you tbh. And ignorant.
In my case, my login credentials are, according to the message, failing authentication. Since they’ve been saved and not been an issue in the past, I fail to understand how this might be my failing.
I’ve tried to log in on both Android and IOS; same issue. And in both App and the site. Any suggestions from a modern technology genius???

Not sure if this is the thread for this but, in case any Australian or New Zealand Derby fans are unaware, it seems the Australia-NZ broadcast rights issue has been resolved.
EFL Championship match telecasts returned to Bein Sports this morning which means they're available on the Bein channels re-broadcast on Foxtel. As far as I am aware, there's been no announcement by either Bein or Fox Sport. The matches on Friday night and Saturday (UK time) just appeared in the schedule on earlier this week.
Potential crisis for the Derby-Forest game averted....

Yeah, good point. That's one thing that would help indocrinate the kids to the mighty Rams - being able to watch the match first thing Sunday morning. In Australia, this would mean that the match would be available a couple of hours after it's finished.
Just a suggestion - not sure how difficult it would be for the club to do this.
