For what it’s worth I think One Chop is dong what he does for self amusement and is playing his role like a method actor who has totally immersed himself in his role (I think there could be a few others on here at the game as well). We’re all different and I get his posts might rile a few folk but the timing of his over exaggerated prophecies of doom have been perfectly executed from a subtle gallows humour point of view.

Regardless as to people wanting to hear from him or not, today was the end of the Morris era in a sporting context. Abysmal failure, an absolute letdown as the custodian to the city’s crowning jewell and coward in the eyes of his fellow Derbarians. He will be a shadow behind the frames of lawyers and accountants as he will still look to salvage lost wealth and there will be no value he attaches to knowing he could do the the right thing, act like a true man of the city and lay the first stone in the pathway of remorse. Morris step up and speak out, don’t be a coward - share your pain on what’s happened to our club and give Wayne & the new owner a chance to lay the foundations of a new era which can dismiss your own to the mists of time.

You can see what's happened over this god awful period in the club's history......
We're now all focused on accountancy matters. Where's Kirchner get the money? Why's Ashley trying to save a few quid? Who owns the property like corner flags if Kirchner isn't buying the ground?
Anyone else looking forward to it just being about football again?
(Ironically the football has been monumental this season and, to be fair, we talk about that too. Just seems like the obsession is with knowing the financial details of everything - and yeah, it's understandable. My point is it's another negative)

Why is the footballing world all of a sudden kicking off about tweets from Kirchner, as someone said before, why wasn't this happening when he was close to taking over Preston?
Are we really that big of a football club that people want to constantly find things to report on us about.
Brian Clough, our hero, Forests hero, statues at both clubs/cities, had some very choice words for a Mr Fashanu, which he openely admitted in a book and interview and said he regretted terribly, not long before Fashanu took his own life.
By the reactions of people we should be tearing down those statues, erasing the memory of his title winning side, banning the Martin Sheen film...but we don't, why?
Partly because the kids of today priobably dont even know that, partly because he said sorry, but mainly because it doesn't fit the narrative of bashing Derby County whilst they are down.

Whilst the storm has been swirling over us relentlessly there have been rays of light which have shone through to give us all hope, but it does feel like the darkest clouds are now reforming above our heads. The togetherness and unity has begun to crack, other threads about fans giving up on football, Rooney’s defiant optimism replaced with weary resignation and accusations and recriminations between forum members on here and other places. However…..
It’s always darkest before the dawn
There’s always hope where it appears there’s none
Let’s stick together, a sing as one
We’re Derby County, since we was young

Funny how we see things as fans. I’m not going to dig anybody out after the effort the players have put in this season but Bird has dropped off significantly for me in the 2nd half of the season and doesn’t strike me as a natural leader at all. If I was having to put money on it i don’t think he will play above championship level. Will Hughes was a a far superior version of Bird and he’s been a bit of an in out player at lower premier league level with Watford and Palace.

As I said I wasn’t running Bird down (or anybody) he’s a decent player. I think it’s a bit of a stretch to say he ran the game 1st half, I think we edged a sloppy performance by both teams in possession. We finished the half quite strongly. I’ve got nowt against Max, just think he’ll end up a half decent championship player, which isn’t to be sniffed at whatsoever. As for Hughes,  (who I loved as a player) he’s got the sort of game that fans purr at but nearly 27 talk of England call ups are fanciful. I think it possible to like and appreciate the talents of players like Bird and Hughes whilst having a balanced view of what they’re likely  to achieve in the game.

Only if it was very obvious it would relegate us.
So about mid april i'm expecting it. they wouldn't want to do it too soon in case we overcame it.

I think Buchanan struggled a bit today. His pace and heading ability have rightly been pointed out as a big asset for him at CB but it’s tough on him to expect consistent week in week out performances. Stearman, Jags and Davies know where to be positioned with their eyes closed. One thing I’ve noticed about Buchanan’s defending is that he often stays dropped in when the other defenders step up if a cross comes into the box. He definitely needs to do a bit of work on his positioning.

As mentioned by others Fozzy was brilliant tonight. He gets some stick at times (I’ve been there) but in these times what a servant to this great club we follow. I  so hope he makes it to a testimonial year, play a game for him and fill the ground. COYR.
