Agree that you cannot force a player to sign elsewhere, but if you put yourself in the shoes of a creditor, you’d expect the administration team to be making every effort to persuade that player that it’s in the best interests of the club (long Term) for them to accept a move.

I know where your coming from, but I just think we need to be mindful that the fan’s interests may not fully align with the mandate given to the administration team.

Exactly, the case in point here is Riggott to Boro (of all places)
He didn't want to go, and he's sitting there in the press conference looking grumpy with arms folded - but he still went

In the end it doesn't matter..if we get to around 46 we should be safe, the 6 pointers help psychogically though in the short term..and we need as many wins as we can get..

Agreed, the other benefit of the 6 pointers though, is if we win enough of them, the 46 point target may get reduced. 6 points off Cardiff for example is preferable to losing to them twice but getting 6 points elsewhere instead.

  3. Interesting comparison between Mengi and Cashin.
I know Cashin was the busier but looked very good to me, and hopefully will get game time especially if we let one of our CBs go and collect their pension.

Williams and Watson also stood out, and i presume Marshall was in, so someone could take a look at him?

I was under the impression the decision would be final but can’t remember where I saw this piece of information.

There's no mention of a right of appeal in the EFL rules, and technically this is the appeal, so having an appeal against the appeal does start looking silly.

It's the EFL though so you wouldn't put it past them to try - or at the very least issue a press release, claiming that by appealing and being successful we've brought the game into disrepute and therefore deserve a further 12 point penalty

Isn’t that more than a week after the administration began and/or we received the 12-point penalty?

Yes - you have 7 days to appeal after the EFL serves you with the penalty notice.
Interesting the regs seem to say Article 50 covers the timing of that Notice - but article 50 is Prohibition of Third Party Investment, so i'm a little confused

Nope it’s 12 points or zero points

    No, it's any number between 0 & 12
Good news is, unlike the EFL's no doubt secret fantasy, they can't increase it

12.18     The League Arbitration Panel shall have the power to:

12.18.1  confirm the deduction of 12 points; or

12.18.2  set aside the deduction of 12 points and substitute a deduction of such lower number of points as it shall deem appropriate; or

12.18.3  order that there shall be no sanction at all.

Why drop anyone? Why can't we rotate and use the right players for the right game?

I think this is the right answer.

Shinnie will be suspended twice this season - we all know that
And we often play 3 times in 8 days, which is going to knacker our midfield if it's always the same three people

Plus Bielik can replicate any one of Shinnie, Bird or Ravel's roles - probably better than they can do it themselves
So rotate, based on who's knackered and who's suspended - and don't rusk Bielik back!

  8. Can I just say a huge thank to PL2 guidelines that mean instead of watching the football this Friday afternoon on RAMSTV, I will now have to do some work...
    Thanks a lot

And i'm sure there's a fabulously good reason why denying me the right to watch it in Mexico is somehow increasing revenue for Derby elsewhere

This 4.30am kick offs are not great here.  i’d go with Sibley up front to run his socks off before Stretton arrives. Nervous that Forest will wind Sibley up. Brilliant to hear the noise from the stadium on Radio Derby - white riot in the background. Wish i was there…

    You should move.

It's 6.30am here in Mexico City, so much more civilised!
I do hate though how a bad result can completely ruin the whole  weekend

  10. Haven't lived in Derby for over 30 years, and for a lot of that I was either in Aberdeen and or in various places around the globe.
Happened to be back in London when the lockdown started, and now I've moved to Mexico, so weirdly for me nothing's changed.

I was watching on RamsTV before lockdown, I watched RamsTV during lockdown and now I'm back watching RamsTV after lockdown. Only regret is for the year or so I was back in London, I only managed to get to one game in person which was Scunthorpe United in the EFL first round last year.

    So 'same' for me
