I don't see the point in protesting agree with you there, but i do see the point in letting him know exactly what we think of this tbh. I don't think letting him know how we feel is the same as a protest which as you say is pointless seen as he wants out.

Absolutely gutted for us fans, but feel equally sorry for the trialists who have shown good faith in sticking with us, training hard, getting integrated into the group, and waiting patiently for us to sort this mess out so they can eventually sign. The club have just completely messed them around.
The lack of respect this club is showing to everyone is disgusting.

And also spent the bulk of the preseason time on them.....
Davies signing is something at least but with Stearman... I'd rather just give Cashin a shot

I am massively disappointed id of liked Carroll Morrison and Jags but credit to the 3 that signed all could of gone elsewhere and got more money

I'm guessing we're playing with 2 goalkeepers. Might as well we've tried everything else!

Why hasn't Mel got these restrictions lifted by now? How is this problem going to be resolved?

Jagielka and Morrison over Allsop and Stearman. Who are the clowns running this club.

Maybe it means we sell Marshall as I think Rooney doesn’t fancy him as much as Kelle (understandable when you look at him).

Hopefully that could find the wages for the others or an incoming.

I would like to add that im delighted Curt has stayed. Proper professional who seems to have an affinity with the club (we don’t have many of those left).

We have to be selling a keeper - borderline criminal negligence to sign a 3rd keeper when we can only sign 4 players.

Morrison posted 'unbelievable scenes' on Instagram story. Deleted it a minute later and unfollowed Derby. It's a shame as he's the one I wanted to sign out of all of them. Looked quite good.

The fact that we've obviously given them 'a gentleman's agreement' (well Mels!) that we will sign them should mean enough, and we will sign them when we can unless they choose otherwise. The club already looks rudderless from a moral-compass standpoint to many.

It’s a strange thing isn’t it - Sheffield Wednesday in financial mess given a points deduction get relegated then can sign stacks of players unhindered
Derby county - not yet relegated but can sign next to nothing - it can’t be about protecting clubs can it ?

Seeing as Fulham can sign a 12 million pound player but defer the payments to help them get around FFP at the same time as receiving parachute payments and not even hide it, I'd say we can do what the hell we want.
    Right?

If we can get these signings done then I take it as a massive positive because these 8 lads have turned down other offers in some instances because they want to come here and be a part of it. That’s a great start.

Give it a rest, it's not like Rooney isn't bringing young players through. They aren't consistent or predictable in their development.

I wasn't knocking Jagielka... He has been an excellent player. I'm sure he'll do a great job for us.
And I am painfully aware of our current predicament.
I was merely lamenting the days when we would be signing players that would thrill us.... Charlie George, Franny Lee, Saunders, Eranio, Baiano and so on.
    That's all I meant.

They said that when we signed a 37 year old Paul Mcgrath who had knackered knees.
    He was Superb that season.
I've seen enough of Jag to be of the opinion that he would be a great signing for a season.

Anyone that has had to sign an NDA knows that it's never taken as a sworn affidavit of secrecy. In this situation, I doubt Derby would even be willing to take their own fans to court over things they've said in this meeting, for example. It's just a document that is put in place that, I believe, makes people mindful of something that would be said in meeting, perhaps about the EFL and/or others, that would be inflammatory. Of course, they could just keep a lid on those types of comments and avoid a NDA but as people will be in a mood and I'd imagine a very sour mood then it's just to make sure the club are protected.
Everyone knows this meeting is taking place and everyone knows the meeting minutes will be available in the near future. I wouldn't build the NDA up to be something more than it is.

I hadn’t seen this topic prior to writing a lengthy post. Yes I questioned it, and was given assurances this was not to gag us. Please don’t jump to the worst conclusion.

I totally agree. Quite happy to film the forums during the good times but you have to be open and honest with the supporters during the rough times as well.
I was at the one in the cinema when Lampard had taken over and remember Mel and Pearce saying that we wouldn’t fail FFP and being self congratulatory about beating Villa to the £3.5 million signing of Malone. How times have changed. We can’t even afford someone to work in a ticket office anymore. That alone should be cause for concern enough for local press to be asking and demanding answers.
I hope tonight gives all supporters answers to the massive range of questions that need answering because we are seemingly in a mess comparable to 1984, and I know how very close we were to losing the club then. People are worried and concerned about something which is engrained into their soul and heart and no one should be vilified or questioned for wanting answers to these genuine concerns.
Let’s hope we get them and sign a couple of aging centre halves, failed midfielder and centre forward who doesn’t score to raise morale!
