I'm sure we can all see the stupidity in this, in that Ashley could have spent the same amount in December and possibly kept us up......but the Boro issues torpedoed that. we won't forget Gibson.

Not quite. It’s not a case of the EFL’s involvement helping or not helping. DCFC are still a member of the EFL. The EFL should be helping it in these difficult circumstances, especially as the club has been sanctioned according to the rules over a prolonged period at the behest of other members. That part is done and dusted. We are now a member pure and simple. Our “trade association” is ( or effing well should be ) bound to assist members. That assistance cannot be muddied by past actions for which justice has already been served. And it cannot and should not be conditional on DCFC to act in a certain way in areas governed by commercial law rather than their rules.  The EFL well understand this but are desperate to get their fingers in the pie to justify their   position. It’s a power play and it makes me want to throw up. If they were honest even handed and open they should be falling over themselves saying “what do you need to sort this.”

Not the usual “disappointment” and “if only” or whatever snivelling weasel words they chose. They have a man on the board who was disqualified as a company director for diverting funds in to his own bank account. They went for us because they were threatened by another member. They are weak, cowardly and employ persons of bad character.
It’s an organisation without morals or ethics. A fit a proper persons test ? And people like Peter Ridsdale is on the board ?
PS .. you may just detect from the above that I have nothing but contempt and suspicion whenever they say anything.

It’s the same argument put forward by the ‘big’ clubs - we make the money, you redistribute it. Their solution is different though - we make the money, we should keep it. Let the smaller clubs keep whatever they can make.
Football as a whole lost the argument way before the PL came into being when the forerunner of the EFL agreed that home gate receipts didn’t have to be shared, that the well supported clubs, aka the big clubs, could keep all the home gate receipts (except in the FA cup because that’s run by a different organisation). They agreed it to stop (although they didn’t know what it was going to be called) the formation of the PL, because the administrators then realised that what is happening now would happen if the PL was formed - that the rich get richer and greedier and less bothered about other clubs. And that true competition would slowly disappear. So it has come to pass. The only thing they didn’t really understand was that TV money rather than gate receipts would be the catalyst for inequity.
In those days the game was run by better administrators than we have today, people who had more power, better vision, albeit sometimes behind the times (see kit sponsorship for example) and were better leaders than the bunch we have now. The FA and EFL are pathetically run, powerless organisations managed by feckless individuals with no leadership, vision or standing on the national or international stage. They used to be led by people who were better than the people who ran the clubs and, although we didn’t realise it, were more in tune with fans than we gave them credit for.
Mel may get criticised for a lot of things in this parish, and in some areas rightly so, but his views on the EFL (and wider football authorities) are 100% spot on. It’s to football’s eternal shame (and inevitable destruction imo) that in expressing his views he has been targeted and destroyed. In other industries he might be referred to as a whistleblower and protected.

Folk are funny aren't they Kev? If the last few years of EFL intercessions taught us anything it's that their assistance is absolutely the superhighway to a sustainable future. I fully agree that Quantuma really should make room in their Holborn HQ for Rick and Trev to hotdesk daily if required. I mean look at the speed with which they sanctioned us in the first place. Only three years after the event. Then the 2 years it took them to find a few blokes who actually thought we'd done something wrong. Then the blinding rapidity of their dealing with Gibbo and Cowpig's grievances.
How anyone could doubt that they'd soon have this mess sorted is utterly beyond me.

I think BAWT’s problem is they don’t have a recognisable head anymore who can explain what they are standing for and hold a sensible discussion on something like Radio Derby (there are those they didn’t like Mr Owen before, but he could atleast do this). They are seemingly going a bit down the slouth/@_derby5hire twitter route which does deserve exploration for sure, even if we do poke a bit of fun at it from time to time. I’m just not sure basing a supporters group around it, who only send statements to the public domain through Twitter, is helpful to anyone.

Rubbish, they are only in negotiations with the administrators, they cannot force the bidders to disclose anything to a Third party.

As usual, the EFL narrative implies that things are going wrong (in this final process) and that they *must* intervene. Self-protective bullsh!t.
Q have to honour confidentiality, and other privacy law.
Q will select the chosen bidder...NOT the EFL; the EFL are there to ensure the buyer complies with their Rules & Regulations and 'fit & proper test'. Birch and his leaky, duplicitous cronies do not sit round a table with Q sifting the bids.
Unfortunately, the EFL have perpetually shown themselves to lack confidentiality, feeding clickbait media, and have also wilfully impeded processes.
Their damaging acquiescence about the creditor status of the parasite claims (which in itself added months to the admin process and they blocked/discouraged bidders with such 'obstacles' since last December) - and between themselves and Q, gave Kirchner many weeks too long to complete.
I expect that after this protracted fiasco, if any enquiry or investigation takes place, the sky will fall in on both Q and the EFL, and we will be well rid of both of them.
It seems that if the club survives, it will be in spite of their efforts, rather than because of them ?

Never forgiven, nor forgotten; EFL yet again showing mastery of false messaging and accusatory finger-pointing. They are showing their panic in the only way they know - to shift the blame.
They delayed and deferred many processes which damaged DCFC for 2.5 years, as if MM & Pearce's stupidity and 'creativity' weren't enough to mortally would the club.
We will mount a huge witch-hunt and media assault if DCFC dies, to turn the spotlight on these incompetent custodians of the League. We'll do it anyway: we're Derby County, we'll fight to the end!
Permanent middle-finger and worst wishes too upon the parasite clubs ?
