Proper ground that. Not knocking Pride Park - a very good stadium in its own right - and perhaps it’s simply an age thing too, but I used to love walking up to a match at the BBG. Haven’t really felt the same way since the 1990’s.

Never understood why folk give Kelle such a hard time. Makes some howlers and perhaps the play-off one is something some find hard to forgive and It's true that he tends to be either pretty good or horrid, but I think he's more of the former than the latter. Clearly so do some of the better teams in the division and for me, that's quite telling.

Have just seen on Twitter that Birmingham City and Millwall are to remember Arthur in the 6th minute of tomorrow's game, a tribute which is being followed by a number of other clubs fans.
Would be touching if we as a group of supporters could do the same thing, the reports of his case would make a grown man break down in tears.
    RIP Arthur

Preferred bidder was supposed to be selected in three to four weeks. That was about six weeks ago.

looks like three to four weeks is the new 48 hours.

If I were Mel I wouldn’t be able to look myself in the mirror after what he has done. The destruction of the football club that he oversaw in such a short space of time is absolutely unforgivable.
He will be remembered as one of the worst owners in the history of British football.

The one to blame is Morris. His hand was firmly on the tiller and because of his recklessness and incompetence throughout his reign has brought the club to where it is. The HMRC were cutting the club some considerable slack during the lock downs which is why they are now owed the £30m so let's stop blaming them. Personally I can see some sort 9f agreement being made and I hope that much of the debt is repaid.

Thanks for your kind words, we're not in a good place and the HMRC situation is a big one.
What happened to Bolton was very sad and I wish you all the best in working your way back.
    Cheers

Bolton fan in peace and sincerely hoping you survive. Just a comment regarding HMRC from our experience. HMRC tried to have us wound up by issuing a winding-up order on a number of occasions, first occasion was £600k bill and that was resolved in court by our ex-owner (we think) writing a cheque. The second occasion was just before we went into Admin with a bill of ~£1.2m. We went to court a number of times as the search for a new owner was continuing (prior to Admin - which I think protects you from Winding up orders) eventually we went into Admin, as it was clear we couldn't clear that debt.
When the deal completed, as I understand it, pretty much our first cheque from the new owners, was to HMRC to settle the outstanding.
The situation was same with Bury, over much smaller amounts. HMRC issued a number of winding up orders.
It felt to us like HMRC were just dying to wind up a few football clubs, and in our case, there was no "dealing" with them, other than to find a way to pay and buying time through the Admin route.

Good luck with your fight - it's always the fans that suffer.

I'm sorry but the way this club has been mismanaged so badly there should be a police investigation......  Starting with how a Championship club could be allowed to run up debts of nearly £30m to HMRC.....

According to Google he’s a teacher of architecture. So he fits the criteria with respect to building something however I very much doubt that he has the finances.
