I’d be thinking about my financial situation too if I was him. He is a professional footballer, he won’t be able to demand the salary he currently does for much longer.
He isn’t first choice for his position and will be further down the order once Bielik is back in the team.
He hasn’t accepted the offer of a transfer, the club (admin) have. We haven’t even heard that he’s agreed terms with a new team yet.
Im not happy that we look like we have to sell players to survive, but I won’t think badly of any player, or think they’ve tarnished their reputation with us, for moving elsewhere at this time.

Perhaps his train of thought is that he will unlikely be able to be offered the same terms at Derby anytime soon and if he can get some money into the DCFC coffers by commanding a transfer fee then he is helping out in that way.
He doesn’t owe us anything. He’s been a solid professional for us since he joined, but centre mid is where we are blessed with options (compared to other areas of the squad), so it’s better to accept offers for players like him instead of someone like Kazim or Davies.

Thought Jozwiak was having a good game. Shame he’s had to make way for a tactical change, but can see why festy is staying on for his pace.

He’s been a warrior for us. Was unlucky not to be fancied by Cocu when he arrived, but got his head down and became an important part last season.
With the emergence of Thompson and return of Bielik, his position seems to be covered well (currently).

I think the reason he couldn't re-sign (even though Baldock and Marshall are both gone too) is because we started playing more youth players recently (Thompson and Plange) and these have filled up the quota again. I'm sure when Rooney started selecting these squads he was under the impression that this tougher embargo would be over by now and we'd be able to keep Jags on a bit longer.
I'm gutted he's gone. He's been absolute rock for us. Hopefully Stearman can keep up his levels he's shown when he's had a chance. Cashin will get his chances this season too now I suppose.

I think it's been discussed before that this person wouldn't be allowed to work on, or have any decision making powers, on a case directly involving their club.

As soon as we had the wages problems last year he was “ill” until a speedy recovery when the transfer was made to bank accounts. Then he had an “injury” against Forest and decided himself he couldn’t continue.
We won’t miss him or paying his wages for doing nothing.
