StarterForTen got a reaction from SKRam in January Reinforcements
If Derby don’t get reinforcements in by the end of the window then it certainly won’t be for the want of trying by the coaching staff. They know they will be out of a job if we’re not at least in the playoffs come the end of the season so not getting quality players in will all be down to the finance guys.

I don’t disagree at all. Just making the point that, while the football department receives all of the brickbats, they are not in full control of the situation. It’s all down to cash really.

This thread and forum in general is literally unreadable at the moment.

This is what was said by Clowes;
"Paul has been given a budget, I think a good budget for League One that is good enough to get us out of the league. But it's football and nothing is guaranteed."
Both Clowes statement that he thinks the budget is good enough to get us out of the league and Warne saying today we’ve been outbid by another club for a player can be correct. What are you looking for them to be correct about?
We are still within a very realistic position of earning promotion this season despite the lacklustre recent performances. Having a competitive budget for promotion whilst still apparently having limitations in line with the agreed business plan seems to be the reality the club is in from what little information is out in the public domain and has been reported on by the press.

Or the polarising effect of social media. No one is ever allowed to be neutral anymore, because that’s just too dull.

It’s their place of work, they’re wearing club colours more than likely under instruction….a work uniform if you like, your comments about them listening to songs with obscenity are wrapped up in odd sweeping generalisations, do you know for certain the musical tastes of the likes of James Collins, Conor Hourihane, Tyrese Fornah, Eiran Cashin and Korey Smith?
They were poor on the pitch tonight, there’s no need to invent other things to throw at them.

Any contract can be signed in advance; it’s just it’s terms only come into effect on its activation date.
Like buying a house. You SIGN and exchange contracts before the day you actually buy the house.
CBT will have signed two contracts: one to cover his loan and one (probably dated July 1st) to cover his services once the loan expires.
Playing contracts have to be lodged with the League, but only once they are active. And a player’s registration is different to their contract and will remain with the ‘owning’ club while the player is under contract terms, or is mutually agreed to be transferred.

Is his 'true position' his best position or his preferred position, as I reckon they are not the same.
His preferred position is probably as a free-rein attacking midfielder but I think his best position is in a more sitting role... on the bench, or better still, in the stand!!

We must be reading it differently. My take is that under the terms of the agreed BP, we can pay for loans but the only way we can pay for permanent deals is to sell first. We don’t want to sell anyone. We pay for the loan and he’s already agreed a permanent contract. The £300k is out of the loan fee pot that’s part of our BP, so it’s affordable.

It was a really bad foul, over the top. Red card on VAR. I don't think Nelson was very happy, rightly so. The first job of the referee is to protect the players, but this one is not up to the job.
