Oh, it was me!! I went through tidying up old direct debits on my banking app the other day. It was just an acknowledgment email.

Why is it laughable? Forest were bottom of the league when Hughton left. They had won 1 in 13 league games dating back to April, losing 8 of those. Poor, negative, flaccid football had been a feature. Morale was on the floor and disgruntlement rife, and a previously accomplished manager at this level found his reputation very much damaged. I am not seeing the appeal yet, are you?
On the face of it, yes, a big club, but with question marks over the owner, the transfer strategy and the size and make up of the squad, it can’t have been an easy sell.
I can comprehend very well the restrictions Rooney is and has been working under. Perhaps we just have different ideas on just how debilitating they are.
Entrenched? Me? No. It just takes more to impress me than 4 wins in 30.

your comment just smacks of the reasons why people are fed up with it. I don’t agree with a lot of how it’s run so I shouldn’t be a member nor contribute?

See, herein lies my problem with you and the RT. I'd wager that prior to now, you've never once contacted David, this site's owner, to enquire as to membership numbers and / or page view stats, in order to properly evaluate the potential benefits and make an informed decision. If this is the case, can you explain exactly how you did actually go about assessing the value of this and other fans forums as platforms that might help grow your membership?
Frankly, for all the faith that you afford 'open platforms' such as Twitter and Facebook as a means to stimulate membership numbers, it seems from the rather modest number who are already engaged with the RT, that your faith was unfounded. I don't know exactly how long the RT has existed, but irrespective, with a membership of only 1200, surely you should have been moving heaven and earth to raise your profile. Twitter indicates around 11 years which equates to growing the membership by less than 110 members per annum. That's a pretty damning indictment, however you choose to spin it.
So here it is. I'll join your club, as, most likely, will a number of other DCFC Fans Forum members and you can have you £2.00 each year despite my reservations about the RT being fit for purpose, but an open and independent poll as to the suitability of the current board needs to happen sooner rather than later. There are many reasons I could cite as to why, but I'll stick with just the one I've already highlighted for the time being.

I'm sorry Jim, but this disparity can't be explained away exclusively by your £2.00 fee. The club has @15,000 season ticket holders after all. If less than one in ten of that group sees any value in joining the RT and this despite our current predicament, then perhaps you might want to consider the Trust's performance and credibility before criticising fans for the 'lack of support they have shown'. Worldwide, I'd estimate a fanbase well in excess of 100,000. If this figure is remotely accurate, then the RT is tracking at @1% at best. In truth, that percentage is probably significantly lower. Either way, that, I'm afraid to say, is inexcusable and in my opinion, goes a long way to explaining the lack of faith many of us have in the Trust and its current board.

He didn’t offer a great deal yesterday and with the way the game was going it was probably right to sub him but he never received the ball to his feet. A few long passes vaguely in his direction, chasing a shadow ball. Never got a chance … except once. Right ball right place, great effort, burned down to the byline with serious determination and played a perfect cross, shin height at pace to the 6 yard line. .. give him the ball and he’ll do that more often. .. We were so so slow in the first half yesterday .. players constantly coming back for the ball instead of moving forward to receive it and the man with the ball waiting for players to come back and get it. We didn’t pass through lines .. we retreated and let the other side establish a line in front of us. … There was a guy behind me saying ..” retain the ball .. you didn’t need to that fancy flick” … NO ! … those one touch plays are the ones that break lines, the catalysts. Joz needs that sort of movement.

It needs a good clear out at the top. It’s become stale, insular and lacking proactivity. I’m glad to see that Jim has made this step to engage with people outside of ramstrust.
to only have elections every three years is ridiculous. To have a chair and vice chair in position for so long is ridiculous. It becomes stagnant and needs fresh ideas. They need to be term limited positions.

What Is the average age of Ramstrust member?
How long have the chair and vice chair been position?
How many people have they co opted to the board thus ensuring a level of loyalty to them amongst the board?
What is the average length of service of board members?

You're at a party and you want to take a girl back home with you.
    Do you:
    (a) stand in the corner hoping an attractive girl comes over to you.
    (b) talk to a girl you like
My perception of the Rams Trust is them taking option a. Option b tends to be a lot more successful.
See my response to the first bit.
For the majority, talk to them, get to know them, then they might join
It's about having a broader understanding of the differing views/opinions rather than reaching a consensus. If you only used Twitter to gauge opinion of any specific political party, you'll have a very narrow viewpoint which isn't truly representative of the overall population. Similar applies here. This forum is home to the largest group of Derby fans, with a massive range of opinions
People don't usually join something they don't [think they] like. However, if they're shown that it isn't actually as bad as made out (public engagement) then they will join.
