Thought he was brilliant today. Took up great positions, made theatening runs, took people on, fast direct passing. Did a real shift in defence, too, and saved us a goal. And while others jogged about and scowled at each other and looked like they thought they were too good to have to try, and hard-done-by by the universe, he played like a pro.
You can say 'yeah he does all that but no end product'. But come on: if the likes of Lawrence and Waghorn (and even CKR) did their main jobs as well as he did his, we'd have won today. You can't blame him for not doing _everything_ when some others don't seem to be doing _anything_

I've heard the stories of Jerry being “enamoured” with Pitts. You definitely need Surtain, Panthers are the only team who I think might take him before you. Though I can see them and the Lions trading with teams who want a QB.

A lot of people are putting a lot of effort into investigating this chap; his backers; his motivations; his politics etc. I'm feeling remarkably calm about the whole thing.
I think it's because the dream has died with Mel selling the club. The dream being having a DCFC fan owner who loved the club and was wealthy enough to gamble (and succeed) in progressing into an established Premiership side.
I'm not going to go into a blame game about Mel and how things have been done but he's risked a large portion of his wealth (and health) with running this club and now we are understandably being sold to business people purely out to make a profit at some unspecified point in the future - with no emotional connection to the club we love.
I suppose I'm resigned to being nothing more than a paying customer of the club, rather than a fellow fan with a connection to the owners.
Assuming this take over goes ahead, I'm not excited one bit. Just sad that it has come to this.

I think the only 2 things, imo, Mel has done wrong in his spell is
1/ Sacked Mac the 2nd time
2/ trusted certain managers with a poo ton of his cash.

Cam Dantzler who we took in the 3rd turned out better than Gladney, but he had a decent rookie season considering how bad our defence was last season. Was looking forward to see how he went in what should be a much improved defence this year.
After bringing in Patrick Peterson and Mackenzie Alexander, it shouldn’t be a huge loss, especially if 2018 first round pick Mike Hughes can actually stay fit for once.....

Yeah, it’s the fact they were convinced they were getting Wilson that’s the funny bit. Dalton is a steady QB, but now he plays for the Bears he gets nothing but bad words from me ?

Kinda feel bad for AD, he's getting some stick with those other clowns when he definitely doesn't deserve it. Unlike the other 3, he's actually been a franchise QB (With a whole host of franchise records (good ones!) for the Bengals too). Play offs, winning seasons, numerous full seasons played... he's in a completely different league.
Bears fans might be outraged because the talk has been Watson and Wilson but he's solid enough if they just need to get through this season.
No bad words spoken about the Red Rifle on here please. ?

I find this whole thing depressing. In the post-match interview it sounded as if Sibley knew he had to hold his tongue, but what I took from his comment at the end that "I'm not here to sit on the bench" made me think he won't be here much longer. Especially if Rooney continues to take credit for playing him in his right position for 45 minutes for the very first time this season. After which, we see another Messi-esque goal, which should surprise no one.
Football's such a simple game. Derby are desperate for creativity and a goal threat. Absolutely desperate. So it's not hard to think we might want to play our most creative forward-thinking player and then put him in the position where he can do most damage to opponents.
I'm glad Louie is a genuine Ram and loves playing for Derby more than anything. It means there's just a chance he might stay if he has a run in the team till the end of the season.

Sibley digging Wayne out of a hole, after he was forced to give him more than a 10 min cameo, is a masterstroke by Rooney now? Unless it was always the plan to give Watson his full debut and pull him at HT to help his confidence too.
We've been crying out for him for weeks, there's not many in this squad who have the ability to score that goal from Sibley's starting position tonight. Hopefully he's picked up some confidence from it and can kick on to a nice bit of form.
I'll give Wayne credit when its due; that second half turn around for one and the whole teams response. But not this poo show. You don't get a pat on the back for playing poor, out of form players over the clubs biggest prospect for weeks on end.

The credit goes to Sibley alone. It happened despite of Rooney, not because of him.

Completely disagree with Wazza there but what do I know.
Another big fat red flag IMO, unless this is all part of a bigger plan to get the best out of Sibbers. Judging by his little playing time I wouldn’t like to bet on it.
Having witnessed some performances from “seasoned pro’s” in recent games I can’t actually believe he’s called him out in public though.

Yep, Rooney is being a right rick. He's regularly the most impactful sub (even when it's usually only 10 minutes he's given) and it's always, "he needs to do more." Meanwhile Waghorn, Jozwiak, Gregory etc. get much more chances than him and have been woeful for the majority of the time, yet seem to receive much less criticism than Sibley.
